Bella Vita Italian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Antigua

After reading some good reviews and craving italian food we booked here with our little boy. We received a welcome but unfortunately that was the limit of service for us. The table seated & served after us (next to us) received their drinks/ breadsticks before us. We actually had to ask again for our drinks which after working in hospitality myself is embarrassing for all parties. Our 2 year old ordered his own pizza aswell as myself & my partner (partner also had pasta) the pizzas are huge, which would have been good to know upon ordering for a child. We weren't asked once if everything was okay (the food itself was very tasty, well seasoned, no complaints there- also from what we could see the kitchen looked very clean) both servers seemed much more interested in other customers, we witnessed them go over and interact which just made our experience all the more awkward. Our little boy was well behaved throughout, we booked our table for 7.30/8 knowing we had a 2 year old in tow and evening preparations can sometimes not go to plan. After asking for takeaway boxes for the leftover pizza we sat for another 15 minutes before finally managing to make eye contact with a waitress to ask for the bill. We left without a thankyou, hearing them thank the table following us out and asking if they wanted to take a picture of them all (?!Very disappointing. The service and ambience definitely doesn't live up...

This was the worst dining experience in Antigua experienced yet. The food was sub-par for the cost. The pizza you tell the sauce came from a can and the veggies on the vegetarian pizza did not exist there were scraps to no vegetables. AND TO TOP IT OFF, they sat us in a awkward place next to a step, and my friends chair fell off of the ledge/step and her entire body hit the floor, there were several customers that came to her rescue, but the staff and manger reaction was again sub-par and unconcerned to the point where the manager never ask her was she okay or any concerned but only told her to put in her PIN number to pay the bill yet never said sorry that happened or offered any concern from the manager or the staff whose service was very poor. I do not recommend this place and if you do go here do no let them sit you near that step you can fall off of if you push your chair too far back from the table. This place has beautiful decor but their food and service and compassion for people earns them ZERO STARS DO NOT GO HERE A COMPLETE ...

Bella Vita restaurant located near by Star fish resort/Sandals resort. You can book a table well in advance. Place serves drinks and food. Evening time is very pleasant to visit here. You can find sea food, lamb, pizza, home made pasta in the menu list. Good parking space, next to main road it makes easy to find place. Food is served within 15-20 minutes of placing order. Staff is very good. If you are in Antigua, is one of the good restaurant to hangout with your friends and family. Ambience is very pleasant. Enjoy the meal...
