We were visiting Buenos Aires city and decided to stop in La Recoleta Cementery, which, by the way, I would highly recommend to visit. After our tour of the cementery we strolled the streets of La Recoleta looking for a place to enjoy some traditional Argentinean dishes and that’s when el Club de la Milanesa on Azcuenaga Avenue catched our attention. With the slogan “Coma sin culpa” (eat without guilt) they offer many tasty options but, of course, I would advise to gofor their milanesas. If you will be enjoying “milanesas argentinas” for the first time I would recommend to order “Degustación de milanesas” , which will give you the opportunity to enjoy a few version of this argentinean classic. Pkease note that you can order your meal “medium or large” sizes, portions are generous so if you would like to taste more than one type of milanesas you should probably go for a medium size or take an “amigo” (friend) with you and order large. The staff is friendly although some of them were rather casual at their place of work and we heard some swearing in the background. Keep in mind that in Argentina some “bad words” are no longer offensive but rather part of the local way to talk among friends. Back to the food, you won’t be disappointed, the food is very tasty and they have restaurants around the city....
Read moreMy first experience with El Club de la Milanesa several years ago was excellent. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. Since my first meal I have returned 4 or 5 times with my visits to BA. Each time I have returned, I have been less and less enchanted. There have been changes on their menu with the deletion of some very good sides. Also the experience with the wait staff has been getting worse. The milanesas are good but there are several restaurants with good milanesas in BA. I keep going back because I hope to find they have regained some of their greatness. My last experience has been my worst, the staff, namely Christian, would not arrange empty tables to accommodate a group of 6. He insisted we go upstairs for a table. I explained to him that my 90 year old mother and her 86 year old brother would best be served on the ground floor. He refused to rearrange the tables. I chose to go to another restaurant instead. I feel this restaurant does not value its customers and this was typical of the deterioration of service that I have...
Read moreIf there is a paradise of variety for schnitzel's fans, this is the place for eating a proper one. You can order via delivery or you can have lunch outdoors at the tables placed outside the restaurant due to pandemic protocols. In every table you can have bottles with alcohol in order to sanitize your hands. The service is fast and good. I recommend the craft beers but check availability first. As regards schnitzels check the menu via qr code because you can choose between meat and chicken schnitzel. You may order french fries, salads or mashed potatoes. Different sauces are offered to add...
