Quality goods with a large selection of products. They’re not fully custom, but can manufacture a coat/jacket/vest/etc. the same day based on the templates they have in stock.

My only gripe is that when I went to pick up my item, the sales rep informed me that I could return anytime for free alterations. I returned about a month later to take her up on this offer (to get a more custom fitted look), but I was met with mild attitude from the same sales rep who tried convincing me that the jacket looked fine. After a bit of back and forth, she finally took the jacket back to perform my requested alterations. When I returned to pick up the jacket, it still didn’t fit quite like I wanted. She again tried convincing me that it looked fine, so I eventually gave in and accepted the product.

I now realize that this shop likely receives a lot of tourists who typically immediately leave the country shortly after retrieving their purchase, therefore they likely do not anticipate people returning for alterations. I had been looking for a special leather jacket while in Argentina. I had been recommended Uru by my hotel’s concierge. Actually, i was recommended to several stores of various quality and range. But ultimately, i chose Uru for their quality and selection. I wound up buying a bomber jacket made with capybara leather. It’s very specific to Argentina and very rich in feel and texture. I also decided to buy two pairs of matching gloves. The skin is water resistant and very soft.

The staff were lovely but having returned to the UK the belt I bought and left to be altered and collected by a friend I have now passed on to my husband as nothing had been done to it and was still far too large. My friend returned to collect her made to measure jacket only for it to need drastically altering on the morning she was flying home.
