Due to Taylor Swifts concert and Uber taking 20 minutes to pick up we were late for our reservations. I called and spoke with a manager, and I explained what was going on and he just said "I believe it's crazy out there and we're here when you arrive. Just took away from the stressful situation. He had sandy blonde hair I believe when we arrived.
The hostess was a tall very attractive lady. She was very happy when greeting us and later she helped my wife navigate to the back area and was just wonderful.
When in Rome do as the Romans do. Same applies to Buenos Aires with enjoying beef like never before. It was my wife and I 10 year anniversary, thus the reason for the last minute trip. She doesn't really eat red meat, even though her family owns a large cattle ranch. In the 12 years of knowing this woman, I had never seen her devour a Ribeye and get those "glossy eyes". She told me that she hadn't ever had a piece of meat that good ever. I reminded her that I could hear her and I was the best meat lol.
In most cases, Buenos Aires, doesn't push vegetables, chimichurri excluded. In fact, we had to either eat at higher end restaurants or go shopping for vegetables and make salads at the hotel. But Happenings prevailed again with tasty salads and vegetables. I ended up ordering more salad and I'm a meat guy, if you were paying attention lol.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The first waiter was a grumpy guy who didn't understand English or Spanglish and stayed away for the most part, until the young man who at least tried and succeeded was able to correct the situation.
Thank you Happening Costanera! Seriously, when asked about our visit to Buenos Aires the highlight for my wife was the steak and the hostess. For myself it was the arugula lol. To be honest we just felt relaxed and in great hands. May you always be blessed with the same happiness...
Read moreI dine solo a lot and not always on the receiving end of friendly service but this place, wow. Front desk welcome was genuine and patient. Every single waiter that passed my table, nodded and smiled as they went by. The waiter who served me was a delight and really made me feel valued. The kitchen, fantastic. They even made a special napolitana preparation for my classic milanesa when they understood it was the first time I tried one. Simply top class from start to finish. Thank you so much for making one of my last days in Buenos Aires such a kind experience. ...
