Ribs al río - Patio Costanera Norte — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

A fun barbecue restaurant with a nice terrace overlooking the Rio de la Plata. Food is good and the portions are generous, but it is more expensive than most other places with a similar vibe. I tis great to see the big smoker on-premise and you can taste that the meat is good quality and well prepared, but still a bit pricey, considering it is a self-service and there is no table service. If you find a table on the terrace it is worth it, but if you have to eat in the courtyard it can get noisy and not so pleasant with the constant stream of people walking around you to go order and pick-up their food (at least in the week-ends). We left satisfied, but not "wowed" as we would have liked to be at these prices. But, on the other hand, I think it is impossible to find something of this quality and cheaper in this specific area...

Mi hijo ama sus tacos y por tercer año consecutivo pidió ir a cenar allí por su cumpleaños, según él “ya es una tradición”

Siempre hay cosas para mejorar como en todas partes pero hoy quiero destacar lo importante:

1.- El personal cada uno desde su lugar de trabajo muy atento, orientados al buen servicio al cliente, con muy buena actitud y disposición. (Hoy los moleste a todos por el cumple de mi hijo, pedí platos por aquí, servilletas por allá, cuchillo para picar la torta, hasta la cocina fui a dar) pero hay alguien que se destaca y a quien quiero resaltar y es a Mariana en principio si función de estar en la caja pero no se limita a cobrar, te asesora, si tienes duda de que elegir te da una idea de cómo está compuesto cada plato, te explica es lámalo de las bebidas sus costos etc. ( y muchos dirán que tiene eso de grandioso y es su deber) Mariana cumple con su deber a cabalidad pero de una forma única, es amable, paciente, sonriente, con muy buena actitud, con muy buena disposición te hace vivir una experiencia agradable además hoy nos preguntó: Alguien está de cumpleaños? A lo que le respondí: si mi hijo! Y nos comentó: el cumpleañero en su día no paga ni su comida ni su bebida lo que para mi hijo fue un lindo gesto (cumplió 14) y al decirle que si era posible traer una torta que tenía en el auto me respondió: Si quiere se la guardo en la nevera… y yo maravillada por su gentileza. Lo único malo es que al pasar el tiempo vi cómo se llenó de gente el local y Mariana ya no solo atendía la caja sino que también preparaba tragos lo que hacía que la gente se aglomerara en la caja a esperar. Pero eso sí la mina energía y encanto con la que trabajaba en la caja le ponía como ingrediente especial a los tragos. Y como le comenté a ella así vale la pena esperar, es tan buena tu atención que las personas esperamos con calma. Así que hoy le doy las gracias a todos por la buena experiencia y a Mariana 100 Puntos!! This place is made of filthy containers with a central open yard. Basically it is a fast food self service with metal chairs and recycled tables over a pebble-stone floor. The food itself is not bad - the kind you would find in an isolated village in Texas. Of course no complains about the service because there is none. You pay, you get a ticket and a beeper sort of thing. The prices are absolutely outrageous - 15 dollars for a smoked beef sandwich the size of a small burger, 20 dollars for a baby rib and 7 for a beer. Please, do yourself a favor and go eat in one of the food-trucks across the street and you'll get a better price/quality rate...
