I tried the tasting menu for one person (the menu had this option only for two but they agreed to offer this for one person which was very nice - this is why I am giving 5 stars for the service).
The starters were samosa, spinach and potato pakoras with three sauces. The samosa was the best among the starters. Pakoras had quite a lot of dough (probably wheat flour) but they were ok.
The main dish that I chose was mixed veggie curry that had a variety of veggies and a little bit of paneer (Indian fresh cheese). The curry had a little bit too much of carrot than other veggies but it tasted very good, not that spicy but had the usual curry taste from India.
The dessert was green colored kulfi (Indian ice cream) and gulab jamun. Maybe because I had a really good kulfi in Jaipur recently, this ice cream disappointed me a little bit. The texture was not creamy, it seemed like that it went through freezing/defreezing sometimes. Gulab jamun was good.
Garlic nan was pretty tasty and the rice was not basmati, just normal Argentinian rice with little veggies, I just tried one spoon although I don’t like throwing food. They serve a lot of rice!
The service was quick and friendly.
The restaurant needs to solve the ventilation, it has very strange and unpleasant smell.
I stayed there max 1 hour and my clothing and hair smells just like the...
Read moreI have been around the world may be 4-5 times and eaten in many restaurants unlike Mumbai Mahal Buenos Aires
I would not say this review is a complain but should be more careful on how to get better.
Food quality not really good, meat not marinated before cooking and that's the reason no taste in the food.
Ambience is beautiful well decorated but not used it properly to make full use of the beautiful decor.
Cheese Naan not even close to anything that I have eaten in the past really bad.
Pricing for dishes that's on the menu really on the higher side not worth paying, as the food quality really not that great.
Waiter staff looks like they are in hurry and not bothered to ask their customers how's the food or if they would need anything more, they didn't even offer any water.
Dessert selection really bad no tast, quality and if you guys run out of kulfi or ice cream please do not serve the remaining as it doesn't tast good because there is a lot of ice crystals in it. I feel service provided to and Indian is different from the service provided to a local is way different which is not good because they will not order food quantity like an Indian, so please provide better service to all ur...
Read moreUnfortunately this Indian restaurant didn't hit the mark. The most important thing for me is the quality and taste of the food. In this regard, all of the food(palak paneer, dal bhukahara, and shahi paneer) had a very sweet taste where you could taste the sugar added. Additionally, the paneer tasted cheap and granulated. Most of my family stopped eating after several bites due to the overwhelming sweetness of the dishes. On a positive note, the naan was good as was the raita.
The atmosphere also was underwhelming and the restaurant overall felt dirty. The linens on the tables were stained like someone had eaten there prior and they had not cleaned or changed the table cloth. Additionally, there were so many fruit flies in the restaurant, it was hard to eat anything without constantly trying to swat the flies out of the way. All in all, it's definitely not a place I would eat at again and would not recommend this restaurant to those who are looking for authentic...
