Rëd Restó & Lounge — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I recently dined at Red Restaurant in the Madero Hotel and had a mixed experience. The standout of the meal was the Costilla de Ternera, which was absolutely fantastic. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, truly showcasing the quality of Argentine beef.

However, the risotto was disappointing. With a mushy texture, the dish was soupy rather than creamy, lacking the slight bite ("al dente") that a good risotto should be.

On a positive note, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, professional, and provided a great dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was also pleasant, contributing to an enjoyable setting for a meal.

Dropped in for lunch, overall not a bad spot for nicer traditional Argentine cuisine.

To start off, their lunch menu is significantly smaller and less featured than their dinner menu. I did ask to try theie empanadas (very tasty) from the dinner menu and they were able to accommodate. Not sure if they have everything available in lunch though.

Their wine menu is fairly generic, the usual producers you would expect to see, 20 or so options on red and white respectively.

NY strip steak, lots of flavor. For a punto (medium) I would like to see a lot more pink, slight red in the center. What I got was a solid light grey throughout. The crispy potatoes so delicious.

Absolutely fantastic. I stayed at the hotel itself for six nights and was kicking myself as I only ate here on the final night. It was amazing. Value for money probably one of the best restaurants I've ever had the delight to eat at. The steak is incredible and I'm still thinking about it days later, and have failed to find steak of similar quality elsewhere.
