I could have given this “Asian” restaurant a 2.5 but there is no 1/2 stars and seeing how it already has a rather high rating, I think a 2-star should suffice. This place is labeled as “southeast restaurant”, not sure if “Argentasian” (Asian-Argentinian fusion) restaurant could not be selected, however I’m not sure I would call it pure Asian cuisine, I had 3 dishes 1. “Green Curry”, 2. Thai soup and 3. Pork dumplings, which had their respective star ratings, the #3 pork dumplings was the best of the trio, pork dumplings that actually tasted like pork dumplings, good for this one, 2 for the Thai soup, I’m not sure I’ve ever tasted such flavors in the many Thai soups I’ve ever had (and there have been many), so I’d say its taste was “meh” at best.
The real surprise was #1. The “green curry”, maybe I’m color blind, but my dish had no green anything, maybe its taste which actually turned my face green, tbh the flavour had a curry reminiscent to it, something that told me I will regret it next day (which I did), but to me its color was more of a baby poo green, together with its taste, I apologize but I have serious doubts any of the cooks is even Asian, tbh I was warned it was an acquired taste, maybe people in Argentina that give it a high rating like to overpay for wanna-be-fusion-Asian food, or have never been to a real Asian restaurant, but not yours truly.
On a positive note, the staff is hard working and I could witness they gracefully managed the place with only two waitress and a hostess, they are the ones that are keeping the place alive, please please hire a cook that has ACTUALLY...
Read moreWow, just wow. Seated under a AC draft (my poor choice), the shortest wine pour I've seen in ages, melamine table tops, and THEN my server forgot my order, AFTER waiting over 15 min to order in a half empty restaurant( as they cleaned empty tables around me while I wait, a super pet peeve of mine). The prices aren't cheap for BA standards, so the food better live up to the hype.......well, the noodles aren't cooked properly and the sour isn't balanced by sweet, all in all, I have to say, very disappointing. Although the good wasn't terrible, I have to say that the first half hour completely ruined the experience. Too bad. Very, very disappointing. Oh, did I forget to mention the QR code menus, how 2021, everyone hates those! At the end I asked to speak with a manager, "we don't have one." Well that's obvious. Restauranteur all my life, hopefully...
Read moreWe tried to eat here and we entered an almost empty restaurant and sat down and were asked to move to a different table, and then to another…their direction was unnecessary and unsatisfactory and the tone was all wrong. It felt awkward and not at all relaxing. So we left.
I didn’t experience the food so in this respect have given them the benefit of any doubt and 5 stars.
(I’m a tolerant person and those following my reviews will remember a recent experience where i finished my coffee and cake even after a rat had run across the floor just nearby 🤣 ! The last time i remember leaving for poor service was in 2021 in a restaurant in Chinatown. Anyway we all have bad days and you never know what is driving someone’s behaviour so i think in a restaurant situation it’s best just to leave and let them do their thing - but...
