Dandy Grill — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

I went on a Wednesday at 3pm. Yes it was late to have lunch, but I had just arrived to Buenos Aires. There was about 4 other tables eating. I ordered the Bife de Lomo. One thing that I noticed was the prices for the menus posted a few months ago were totally different from the one I saw today. I therefore posted the current prices (June, 2022) in this review with the menu. The food was good, the mash potatoes were fine, the bread was really great and the wine was excellent. The price was really high for being Argentina. My total was around 3,280 pesos (about 26$ USD- June, 2022 rate). It was good. This is probably an expensive restaurant for local standards. Being American, it seemed high for the current exchange rate etc. It was fine though, if you want a nice meal, steak, mash potatoes, and a glass of wine. We visited Grill Dandy on 30th March 2024 after passing it several times on trips. The reviews were favourable, so thought we'd have our last night in B.A there. We went early without a reservation and were quickly seated by our waiter Martin. He was very good. Showed us how to access the English menu and gave us plenty of time to relax with our drinks (Malbec & Moet) before ordering our meal. He even took photos for us. By the time we'd ordered the restaurant was getting busy but still felt relaxed and not rushed. My wife ordered the pork ribs and I ordered the T bone steak (medium rare). Both were very good and steak simply melted in my mouth. Martin was very attentive and ensured everything was to our liking. All in all a great experience. If in Buenos Aries give this place a try. Very reasonably priced too £76 for everything...

From the outside it looks very inviting and is in a prime location. I wanted to like this restaurant very much as my bnb rental is directly across the street. I ordered a red wine and was given a very generous pour of very good malbec. Then a medium rare flank steak and fries. It took a very long time but that was not an issue. When the meat arrived it was totally well done, not a streak of pink to be found. I told the server I couldn’t eat it and he was puzzled, using google I made my reasons clear. I then ordered chicken.
