We were recently there to get an afternoon merienda and the experience was outstanding. Not only were the scones some of the best i have ever tasted (better than in London's top hotels!), but also the attentiveness of the staff was incredible - and this is aside from the most amazing views of the lake!. We got to speak to the chef/owner Pedro about the scones that he prepares fresh daily and about the warm and friendly staff. I feel the prices should be higher given the exceptional quality of the food and they should be open earlier for more guests to enjoy this terrific place (our flight the next day was in the morning so we couldn't visit a second time unfortunately). We had a dinner reservation at 19:00 and we’re so glad we did! It was gloomy outside and we were running a little late, it was full, but they had kept our table right by the window. The views are great and the atmosphere cosy. We had a warm welcome and great service from the owner (Pedro?) who speaks good English and makes great recommendations. The service from the rest of the team after he left was friendly, but a little slow, but perhaps they were trying to close shop (+-20:30).

The food and drinks were delicious. Which included a cocktail made with a tea infusion and the salmon sandwich. They also have a variety of really delicious teas and sweet treats.

La vista es lo único que vale la pena en este lugar. Desde el momento en que entrás, te reciben con el peor trato posible. Al sentarnos en la mesa, nos rociaron detergente encima de la ropa con el spray y nos tiraron las migas de la mesa anterior en los pies. Luego, cuando nos cambiamos afuera para por lo menos disfrutar de la vista, nos rociaron detergente DE NUEVO. Ya esta vez, con mala cara, se dieron cuenta y ni siquiera nos pidieron disculpas. A pesar de pedir específicamente un latte dos veces, nos sirvieron un café aguado (prácticamente sin leche) y una torta mediocre. Pero lo peor vino cuando nos insistieron que el concepto careta del local se trataba de consumir uno de sus caros menús POR PERSONA, incluso después de dejar en claro que solo queríamos compartir la mesa. Al rehusarnos a pagar $13.000 por otro menú entero cuando dejamos muy en claro que queríamos compartir el que ya habíamos pedido, nos dieron un discurso absurdo sobre “la idea de la casa” y nos manipularon ofreciéndonos que a modo de “excepción” nos dejarían consumir por lo menos otra de sus bebidas (carísimas). Vergonzoso. Nos vencieron por cansancio y pedimos otro café, que también resultó ser una completa decepción. Que sorpresa. Las dos mesas que teníamos al rededor no paraban de hacer chistes y burlas en voz alta sobre lo mismo y por la insufrible insistencia de las camareras a consumir un menú completo por persona, así que doy fe de antemano que mienten cuando afirman que “nunca tuvieron problema con su concepto de menú por persona”. Viendo el horrible e insolente trato que tienen con sus clientes en las respuestas de las reseñas (y sus faltas de ortografía..), no me sorprende el equipo que eligieron para formar la imagen de su “casa de te”. Eviten este lugar a toda costa, a menos que disfruten de malos tratos y estafas disfrazadas de servicio “novedoso” o “cool”...
