Shawarma Shtex — Restaurant in Municipio de San Carlos de Bariloche

Had just arrived into Argentina after a very long 11 hour drive. There's nothing like some good shawarma when you're beat tired, and man, this place fit the bill! My partner tried the carne and I tried the pollo, we thought they were both excellent. We also grabbed a blonde and IPA beer. The women working the desk was really kind, they don't accept credit cards but made an exception since we had just arrived and had no cash with us yet. We got a chance to meet the owners who came from Hungary and have been living here for 7 years now, so you know the shawarma is good! Bom Kebab! Fazia muito tempo que eu não comia um Kebab então houve um reencontro emocionante.

A família que toca o restaurante é de origem húngara e tem, por consequência, vários pratos húngaros também à disposição.

O kebab em si é enrolado com um pão durum aparentemente artesanal, quase uma panquequinha. Peguei o com recheio misto (carne e frango) e foi uma explosão de sabores, realmente muito temperado. A salada inclusa tinha mais de uma fatia de tomate, repolho, alface e cebola. Acompanhou com aquele molho típico de kebabs que ninguém sabe descrever.

As batatas que vêm juntas são um caso a parte. São batatas artesanais e fritas no óleo. Elas tem uma cara de batata da mãe, sabe? Difícil explicar.
