El Mexicano — Restaurant in Puerto Iguazú

The food was okay but the prices were RIDICULOUS!

We (two people) had a hamburger and calamari rings. The hamburger was not bad (but not great), and the calamari rings tasted alright, but had WAY too much salt on them.

It was only possible to buy drinks in 1.5L. bottles...so, for simplicity's and health's sake (as coca cola would have been way too much) we ordered a bottle of water. Just the bottle of water by itself was $600 Ar! In total, two mediocre main courses and a bottle of water set us back $3600Ar. (currently $32 USD). Definitely not worth it in our opinion, with so many better and at the same time cheaper options available.

After wondering around in the rain looking for a place to eat something made with love, I stumbled upon this little restaurant, and was so pleasantly surprised. The women running it were so caring and attentive, the food was delicious and high quality (i had the tacos and banana juice-highly recommend), and they did everything they could to give me a perfect dinner experience. I will strongly disagree with comments and ratings. After spending a whole day in National park and temperature was high I tried to find a place for light and tasteful dishes. I was lucky. I decided to seat at the restaurant because I heard great music. It's the mater of taste just like the food. Food was great, I got extra sauces... And friendliness and attention was something you can not pay with money. So...5 stars!!! I had a great time. Thanks...
