Empanadas de queso (cheese) were super super delicious! The humitas were yummy but we wished we had asked about prices beforehand -- we were charged 5000 for 2 humitas which was a bit of a shock when the empanadas were 600 each, for reference. They also took a while to come out. And portion sizes were very small, so while delicious, we didn't order a ton and so left hungry enough that we went to another restaurant. A small traditional café that takes you back in time both for its rustic ambience and for the quality of food: simple, hearty and delicious. Ideally located on the side of the San Francisco church and museum, it is great to stop here for a beer and a couple of empanadas. Fui por recomendación del guía del Free Walking Tour, ya que dijo que eran buenas empanadas para comer algo rápido. Al llegar ni ofrecieron carta, asique pedimos empanadas y unos tamales. El local estaba vacío, solo otra mesa delante. Empezó a pasar el tiempo, a llegar gente... Ni siquiera nos sirvieron la bebida cuando le dije que la quería antes. Después de 45 minutos y con el local lleno, empezaron a sacar platos de empanas y no precisamente a mi mesa, sino a una que llegó bastante después. Me quejé, me dijo el camarero que ya salían. Seguí esperando y sacaron unos tamales y cuál fue mi sorpresa?! Que tampoco eran para mi, sino para una mesa que llegó después. Finalmente me levanté y me fui. Trato de lo más lamentable y vergonzoso. Ni las mejores empanas del universo, que dudo que lo sean por la cara de los que tuvieron la suerte de probarlas, valen ese trato y ese tiempo de espera. No comprendo como un lugar que se dedica a servir empanadas y poco más, tarda tanto en sacarlas. Ni hechas en el momento es posible tardar una hora para servir...
