Akori Restaurant — Restaurant in Yerevan

We came to visit the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex.

After the sweltering heat, and pretty tired, we decided to go deep into the park in search of some place to drink a glass of wine, and after catching our breath, call ourselves a taxi to our hotel by connecting to Wi-Fi.

But it was not there. Entering this unremarkable place, we were faced with the undisguised rudeness and impudence of the staff.

Having informed the waiters of their intention, they told us the following: “actually, this is a restaurant, and we can’t just have a cocktail.”

Seeing our perplexed face, they added with a malicious grin: “we’re all booked, all the tables are on reserve, go to some cafe.”

I recommend that the owner of this business fire such employees, as they “stole” your money!

I don’t want to be a snob, but nowhere in Yerevan, in Paris, in New York or in any other place have I encountered such manifestations, but I must note that this establishment is economy class in its interior. This is not a Michelin-starred restaurant in London or a gastronomic theater in Manhattan.

The waitress was so rude as soon as we entered in here. We opted for the outside seatings but they preferred to hide us from the local aremenians. They rudely asked us to sit inside the glass house or else leave. Eventhough we were hungry we decided to order lattes and cappuccino. The food arrived on time and it was good. But this racist mentality seriously offended us. Travelling to the town and the outskirts we found the sweetest aremnians ever. Their care and love without any selfish intentions seriously astonished us. But the town side...

The restaurant was nicely decorated. The person taking the order and serving us was friendly. It took them 30mins to bring the soups after the salad. And further 15mins for the kebab and we were the only table. The food wasn't satisfactory. The mushroom soup was overly salty and chicken soup had not much flavour.
