Livingston Restaurant Refused Dinner Reservation for Two Male Colleagues
I recently had a disappointing experience with Livingston. My colleague and I, both male, are on a business trip in Yerevan. I tried to make a reservation for dinner to celebrate my colleague’s birthday. The Restaurant informed me that their policy is to accept only families or couples. Despite explaining the situation, it was repeated to me that the policy does not accommodate two male guests dining together unless part of a family or a male-female couple.
This conversation was so disheartening, and it left me violated and speechless.
It’s unfortunate and unimaginable that in 2024 such discriminatory policies still exist; especially in a hospitality industry that should be welcoming to all guests, regardless of their gender or relationship status.
As a frequent traveler to Armenia, my love for the country and its people is unwavering. But I am writing this post in hopes that Livingston will reconsider this outdated and discriminatory policy to better reflect the values of equality and inclusion for all people.

The charm of the place is undeniable — from the chic and beautiful setting to the incredible live jazz orchestra. The singers and musicians were truly wonderful, and the dancers added so much energy and grace to the night. This is probably the only luxurious restaurant in Yerevan where I haven’t seen any of those style-obsessed, flashy, artificial-faced, tasteless young people who seem to fill so many other places. Livingston, keep doing whatever you’re doing — you’re doing it right. Please keep this place just the way it is. Yerevan truly needs a...

The food considering the price was good but not excellent. The plate for matsun was beautiful but not fully convenient. The atmosphere was pleasant considering the show. But we had more expectations from the music. There was a time I was filling in a wedding which should not be the case in such a restaurant, when you pay for that extra 10k. Also the DJ didn't feel the atmosphere at all, he was playing what he...
