We are from the country, but on arrival into Adelaide elected to go to Albion for our evening meal, as we have had excellent experiences there in the past. BIG mistake. My first warning should have been the state of the ladies toilets. On checking them all, I found one acceptable as long as I did not sit on the seat. Then a new menu, not as good as previous, no seniors discount anymore either. The dining area was not very busy, maybe 3 or 4 tables. Even though there were ample staff only one person was serving, while another just cruised around the bar area. It took quite a long time to have our order taken. My husband had a wine and then we selected vegetables from the salad bar. We have no complaint about the salad bar. We then waited around an hour for our meal. To the point we were ready to ask for a refund and leave. The waiter did apologise for the wait but it was an excessive wait and we couldn't see why it took so long. There certainly seemed to be staff with free time on their hands. From where we sat, it appeared to be a young child and chef in the kitchen, but there may, or may not have been more. Apart from the solid block of rice that had congealed on my husbands plate, his Salmon and Tempura veg was enjoyed. Being that I had eaten my veg over an hour prior, a plate of chips and a mainly adequate chicken Schnitzel, with no gravy was not so appealing. We had been eager to return, based on prior experiences, but will not be returning for...

Almost $20 for a regular Chicken Schnitzel that was served nearly raw - I sent the meal back only to have a SECOND Chicken Schnitzel arrive at the table raw. Horrendous. I asked for a refund and was met by an arrogant staff member named Kelly, who barely made eye-contact, couldn't care less about my experience and argued about providing a refund.
I used to visit this place regularly before the over-the-top upgrades were put in, and the salads have gone down hill, the vegetables were either soggy or just not cooked through at all.
We then went into the Gaming Area where I went to get change and was served by a man named Brad who was too busy talking to Kelly to notice he only gave me $40 out of my requested $50. When I brought this to his attention, he made some kind of grunting noise and reluctantly gave me the other $10.
After this whole debacle I decided to just count my blessings that I had not been poisoned by raw Chicken or lost money to an absent minded Manager and walked out.
My advice to all looking for a nice family meal,...

Pinnacle point to catch up with friends and family all in the one location, Throughout the entire week.
Choc Banana SUNDAE with nuts and extra whip cream is deliciously worth it,.... 😁
Sadly, my update to this review has changed no longer a most loved pub since new management. I no longer adore this Establishment. What made it a second loungeroom is now a thing of the past, diminished quality of atmosphere.
Usually Love me a Friday Night at the Pub see the regulars and Amazingly friendly staff with great service. Due to an outburst, rude, abrupt, unfriendly behaviour by management and so-called security who made it a very unpleasant establishment, sloothing with unkind and reluctance to interact kindly with patrons.
My business and many other regular patrons have stopped going to The Albion Hotel.
It no longer has the friendly, comfortable environment as it...
