I stopped visiting this store a few months back probably mid year last year, because the shop was a real mess. Products were stacked on wooden pallets, limited and low quality fruits and vegetables and very cold behavior from the staff were some of the reasons behind this. But last week, when I had no other option as all the other shops were closed, I visited the store after a long time. I noticed a 180 degrees change. The store was clean, the staff on the floor were keen and ready to help, and the products were displayed very nicely. It was a refreshing and nice experience. The meat section was nice and clean too. I really had to ask for the manager and commended that young man on his exceptionally good performance. He assured me and my family of all the positive changes and seemed very keen to help us. I am pleased and wish all the very best for IGA Blair Athol. Your prices are good, the staff is great, what was missing seems to have been addressed, now please maintain these standards so that we do not have to go anywhere else. For what I saw and experienced last week, I am going to give 5 Stars! Keep up...
Read moreToday my 3 year old son accidentally broke 2 small jars of sweet chilli sauce as they weren’t sitting straight on the shelf and he was standing and accidentally knocked them off. The staff made a huge deal my poor son was hysterically crying in the whole store because he got scared from the breakage. I apologised several times for the incident and had an upset crying child all the way home. Nobody even asked how my son was or if he was ok or if he got cut which lucky he didn’t all they cared about is the mess they had to clean and the mere $7 I had to pay for an accidental breakage by a 3 year old child. This is appalling. I have shopped at plenty of supermarkets where I have witnessed either my own kids or other shoppers have accidental breakages but never have I witnessed the staff being so rude to the customers and asking for them to pay for an accident especially by a small child. I also bought $60 worth of groceries from them and am a regular customer but From now on will not recommend this...

On Friday, September 5th, around 7:30, my husband and I came to your store. When my husband mentioned to the security guard that his cart was dirty, the guard pushed it toward him in front of me and said, “Go and throw the garbage in the bin.” He could have hurt my husband by pushing it towards him.
The cart is one where you need to put money in to take, and since we couldn’t simply swap it for another, we reasonably asked the security guard if it could be cleaned as it was very filthy. Instead of assisting, he responded with rudeness and disrespect.
This behavior was shocking, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. It turned what should have been a simple shopping trip into a very upsetting experience for both of us. As a customer, I do not feel comfortable or respected being treated this way in your store.
I kindly ask that you look into this matter and take appropriate action to ensure no other customers are subjected to such treatment...
