We visited here today. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly waitress named Safia, who welcomed us to sit wherever we wished and then came to explain the menu. I enquired as to which items had chilli, due to allergy and Safia quickly went to got the allergy menu but chilli isn't a listed allergy on it, I knew to steer clear of certain foods such as kimchi and some (not sure if all) had pics of chilli on them. I decided on the honey garlic butter chicken but didn't want the corn (pic of dish from poster attached) Safia said they could remove the corn and add extra carrots and rice cake fingers. It arrived on a sizzling plate (careful of your tongue as the food stays hot on those plates). My son, who is not a veg fan tried some and decided he could eat an entire plate of just carrots and rice cake fingers! The meal was fantastic, picture of almost empty plate attached as I was enjoying it so much I forgot about the photo, hence the poster pic. Washed it down with a non alcoholic lychee drink. My son opted for the Snowy cheese chicken and a lemon, lime and bitters. He said it had a bit of a kick to it, possibly almost too much for him but he ate it and finished it. I think he would have preferred an option of shoestring or thick chips and the snow in a shaker or even spoon/jar to allow the diner to administer their preferred level of snow. The snow is a bit like eating Doritos or Chese and bacon balls, you get that dusty stuff over your fingers, so wet wipes or finger wash bowls should be provided if ordering this meal. As there aren't toilets I the restaurants, my son had to leave and go into the centre to use the restrooms there to wash his hands of the snow as he hates his hands being dirty and didn't want to touch his phone until they were clean (he was paying with phone tap thingo) these are just suggestions that they might want to take on board. Overall, we really enjoyed our meals and the lovely Safia was a delight, we will...
Read moreIf tiktok food influencers brought you here, you have my condolences. “Oh wow Gami chicken is finally opened in Adelaide” was what i first thought until I went in. It says “Gami chicken and beer” where tf is the beer??? Why are you advertising cocktails on your drink page instead of soju or beer? What is going on. (Edited: I’m not saying that you don’t have it but rather why isn’t that an advertised item on your menu despite having ‘beer’ in your restaurant name)
We ordered their specialty, fried chicken cheese fondue. The chicken came out but the no cheese. After 15minutes the wedges we ordered came out which had cheese. So the question is, how can there be cheese there but not on the chicken??? Upon finishing the wedges did the cheese finally came. A good whole 30minutes late to prepare the signature dish. Pretty disappointing. Was the fried chicken good? Absolutely not, its as if it was barely fried. We actually went back and air fried it to taste better lol Surprisingly, their grilled chicken was good which was weird.
Lastly, I hate to complain about service in an eatery but yours was just absurd. Your staffs are undertrained and not prepared for service. We couldn’t even get a glass of water for 15 minutes. (Edited: yes we did request it) We heard bowls dropping 3 times in the span that we were there One of your waitress couldn’t even take contact details of customers who was asked to wait. (Edited: so you’re saying you expect customers to wait 30-40minutes in line and not take any details?) Poor couple on the table next to us had to wait an hour for their food only for the waitress to tell them that they ran out of their sauce lol. I recommend that you save your energy and just go to literally any korean...
Read moreWent there to eat during birthday month as I was told you'll receive a discount. When my friends and I were seated, I asked for clarification from the staff, and she said that as long as I signed up on the app, I'll be able to get the discount. Didn't explain further
Atmosphere was pleasant and food enjoyable, had to get up a few times to request chopsticks and water. When I went to pay, I again asked about the discount, and they requested an email with a discount code that I should've received. I went and had a look, had not received it. They explained that if you signed up on the day, you wouldn't have received it until a few day later. I asked why they didn't tell me that when I asked in the beginning. The only reason I was willing to eat at an expensive chicken restaurant was with the assumption that I could use the bday discount.
They kept getting another staff member involved and kept brushing me off. At no point was there an argument or yelling, but all staff left the counter to do something else while I was wondering what was happening. A few moments later, a girl came back apologising but still claimed they couldn't do anything, there was a miscommunication, ID with DOB won't do either. I told them, no miscommunication because I asked about it, and the staff said all I had to do was sign up, with no further explanation. More like poor communication on their end
Told me to come back when I received the email and gave me a discount card, which expires in 8 days!!! Felt like it was a slap in the face.
Recommended for food, but service...
