REVIEW: โค๏ธโ My favourite at Anchovy Bandit was the unreal amount of prosciutto we got. They made the portion 1.75, which ended up being 3 plates worth. It was a minor side dish, but as a prosciutto lover I was in heaven. it worked so well with the sourdough focaccia. Would highly recommend this as an entree! ๐โ
โโ My least favourites were the oysters and the lack of toppings on the mushroom pizza. The oysters were large (great), but had the unpleasant saltiness that threw my friends off who weren't used to eating oysters. It certainly wasn't one of the best/freshest oysters I've had either. ๐ Although the leopard spotting is fantastic on all pizzas ๐ฅ, the toppings on the mushroom pizza left more to be desired. Pictures included, but you can tell it's not quite an even smattering so you get uneven pieces. Would like to see more mushroom pieces/more even distribution on a pizza. ๐คโ
Service was friendly and were great at keeping an eye on the water levels. The atmosphere was also quite loud. The jovial atmosphere and the people that I was with... I've never laughed so hard in my life. ๐โโ Even though we had an odd number of people, they were generous at allowing us choose an extra pizza as part of the set menu! Great place to celebrate a birthday, and the chefs do a great job at plating the supplied cake. There is a cakeage fee...

In a nutshell 9 booked NYE ..this was for the third time .$100 a head ! Arrived at 8.05pm , drink dropped on one of the guests. 1 guest didn't eat seafood, was given tomato and lettuce on ice as replacement dish , the rest of us had oysters etc.!! Main course didn't arrive until after 11pm. I asked the manager why this was the case. well this is when the fun started. Accused us of arriving at 8.35pm-wrong it was 8.05pm Accused us of being drunk - Wrong, we had 1 drink before arriving. They assumed we were drunk because we had NYE celebration glasses on!! . Our alcohol bill for 9 people was $247 , hardly excessive for us . The group consisted of a 75year old , 5 in their 60s and 3 in their 50s. We were told to drink water before they served us any more alcohol and yet she still couldn't say why they hadn't served our main course 3 hours after arriving. It gets better, friends of ours were also there on another table and they were told that we gave the water away to other guests so we could get served alcohol . Just blatant lies, poor service and poor food which is shame as we always support local , but never at this place again. Plenty of good eateries on prospect road to visit, sadly this one has lost us . A simple reply to my email would have avoided a public response from me on behalf...

We recently held a privet function at Anchovy Bandit for my partners 40th Birthday and the result completely blew our expectation out of the water!
As we live in the Prospect area we visit Anchovy Bandit and the team on a fairly regular basis dropping in for a drink or some food, so our expectation was already quite high when we approached them on holding a function for 60 people. Our only concern in the while process was if we would have enough space, it ended up being on a beautiful day so having people on the outdoor tables meant that we didnโt even use the two end booths for most of the day.
The whole experience was flawless from the flexibility/options with food & drinks packages to suit what we wanted, Alex and the team did a fantastic job, the organizing of the food, the drinks and cocktail list, all choices we left completely up to them and they nailed it.
The only thing we organized was the invitations and a cake, no prep work, we got to relaxing and enjoying our guests on the day with no clean up afterwardsโฆ
It was a dream and defiantly took the hard work out of everything, during the function the team took such great care of us and our friends and family. Even to the point that the following weeks we had people contacting us to let us know what a great party it was and what a great venue, food, drinks and staff that Anchovy Bandit have.
