After a very long wait, beyond an acceptable time frame, at lunchtime today. My food (Moussaka) came out cold. I called the waiting staff over, a waitress came to our table. I explained that my meal was cold and inedible.
After another considerable wait, she brought out another serve and it was barely warm. The waitress asked me what I wanted to do.
I replied saying I won’t have anything, she then said that they could cook something else. Our first meal was brought out of the kitchen and put on the wrong rable. It was served to a table of men who eventually had it taken away, as it wasn't a menu item any of them ordered. The waitress took it into the kitchen and after a few minutes she brought it to me. I tasted it and it was COLD. I got it taken away and was brought another one that was only slightly warm. I asked her if she could get it heated up to hot. She asked me if I ever had Greek food before, to which I said yes I have, and my food was always hot, as it's supposed to be, for the meal that I ordered. She assured me that my meal would be corrected and it would be "hot hot".
Her words, verbatim.
I said, as my wife was nearly finished with her food, to cancel my lunch. The waitress tried to convince me, by going through every reason why I should order something else.
So they cleared the plate etc away. When I got my 3rd attempt at a meal, ordering the Calamari instead. I wasn’t brought a fork to eat it with. By this time my wife had long finished eating.
Our lunch experience consisted of me watching my wife eat and eventually she watched me eat, which defeats the purpose of going out for a meal to eat together.
When the waitress asked me (again) if my meal was ok, I said that I wasn’t happy about how long it took to actually get my order served as a hot meal, as per the menu. And that as an elderly, long time married couple, the lack of effort to get my order correct, meant us eating separately. The waitress said that she will let the chef know, we didn't see or hear from the chef at all. So I asked a question to the staff; "how would this restaurant rectify the awful experience we had?". I got no answer. I would not bring family or friends to this restaurant, nor would I ever recommend anyone eating here either.
If I could give negative stars for this restaurant I would. The waitress however, did her best, despite being the only staff member who actually performed her job well.

Read more(On behalf of a friend who does not have a google account.) I booked 2 weeks in advance, for birthday celebration. That is the worse mistake, as we were placed right by the swinging kitchen door. It was intrusive on our party and totally felt like we were at a McDonalds. Being constantly asked are we ready to order was also ridiculously over the top. Wine list was deplorable, Prosecco not on list. What restaurant does not supply Prosecco. Food was reheated, that is a HUGE no no for Charcoal grilling. Oregano was over used on EVERYTHING! Not just the charcoal but the Chips! Seriously, had to keep washing mouth out with water, as there was no wine we liked to consume. Salad on plate was far from fresh, regarding limp cucumber and yesterdays prepped tomatoes. Managers excuses made the entire experience very disappointing, there is no excuse for menu items not being stocked, and that was advising two desserts on the menu, that we were keen to order, were not available! This was due to no one sending the stock order through to supplier. Not good enough! This was on a Friday and the fact to make a booking, a credit card had to be given in the event of a no show. Card would have been charged $50pp if we had not shown up. Truly would have been worth being charged as a no show @ $50pp as the experience was just shocking. I am ex hospitality, and find the whole entire experience, not only below average standard, but the fact we had booked in advance, gave a credit card as a guarantee, the restaurant failed to reciprocate the commitment to its patrons. It is a highly reputable restaurant, which added to the disbelief in woeful service and meals. To add insult to injury, my friend who we were celebrating their 40th birthday, was given a bottle of red wine, which is not her palate at all. So disappointed and wish we could give positive feedback, about the experience, but it is something we will not forget for all the...
Read moreNot a good experience. It started ok (the waitress was lovely) but the Dining experience was ruined by issues mainly with the meal. There were 4 of us Dining - 2 of the main courses came out together (with one of the Hot dishes, Octopus being stone cold when it came out) and then we waited nearly 15 minutes hoping that the other 2 would come out but nothing.... It then took a while to get the attention of a waiter who then went to find out what was going on. By this time, I'd sent my stone cold meal back and waited, expecting that they would remake the dish but when it eventually came out it was clear that it had just been reheated under a warmer so by this time the Octopus was rubbery. When the other 2 dishes finally came out, they were ok but all 4 of us weren't able to eat our meal at the same time. Surely it's not hard to send out 4 Dishes (especially when they were all Seafood so similar cooking times) all at the same time. They apologised at the end, saying that they were busy - I saw 2 empty tables and I don't care how busy you are, there is no excuse about not being able to time the delivery of just 4 meals. I was also a bit put out by the obvious ploy to have to pay extra for Chips for some of the dishes that would normally come with Chips. As an example, a Main size of Calamari came with Chips but the Entree size and also the Main of Octopus just came out with the basic main ingredient. Chips & Salad were extra and quite expensive for what they were. Next time we'll be going back to the Greek Restaurant at Henley Beach in the Square. Sadly, it seems that these failings are consistent with most of the other low...
