I was there 12 July 2025 for dinner with other 5 people in my innermost circle of family and friends. I will never ever go there again. Chicken satay, entree was not too bad 6.5 out of 10, tom yum chicken soup was 6 out of 10, could have served in a bigger bowl with some veggies. Here comes the worst scenario, the time between the entree and main meal was nearly an hour! We waited that long and when the main meal came, we were not happy. The pineapple fried rice with King Prawns looked like an entree(amount of fried rice could have been a bit more) and one or two more King Prawns could have been added. 6.5 out of 10 for that main meal. The pork belly with Chinese broccoli is a disaster! 0 out of 10. Saltiest food I have ever tasted, so they did it again, took it and cooked another serve. Mind you, the plate is so small it also looked like an entree. Then the second time they served the pork belly was just a fraction less salt but still salty. I decide to take it home and give a second life. On our way out paying the bill, the owner said “Sorry for the waiting time because there’s only one chef” The other chef was sick. Really? Then take less booking than usual. I have no words but I just had to be polite and said that’s okay. However will not recommend this Thai restaurant. I will enclose a photo of the Pork Belly with Chinese broccoli which I took home. I will bet the chef or cook put a kilo of salt in it. And only a spoon out of the whole served was taken from this and as the photo tells, not a very generous serve at all but most importantly, the saltiness of the dish is just disappointing. 1 out of 10 for this dish Also for one of my friends who ordered masaman curry, serving it in a small bowl and serving the rice after 20 minutes is not acceptable. Bad service. And I went home hungry and drove home another...

Having read all the google reviews we decided to eat at Baan Thai tonight. We have been looking for a good Thai restaurant in this neighbourhood for a while but what a disappointment! The mixed entree of pandan chicken, satay chicken, spring rolls and larb was ordinary to say the least with the chicken way over cooked and the sauces apart from the peanut sauce were way too sweet and sticky. We also ordered the chicken and basil stir fry which was unremarkable and to accompany it we ordered Pad Thai. Now one would think a Thai restaurant would know how to cook a decent Pad Thai. The dish we were served was just awful.....gluggy noodles, overcooked funny tasting prawns and a very unpleasant taste. We did mention it to the staff who expressed their disappointment but no-one seemed to be concerned that a customer was dissatisfied and the uneaten Pad Thai sat in front of us for quite sometime. Surprisingly no-one was in a hurry to clear the plate away. I was even more surprised when they asked what we wanted to do and got a quizzical look when I suggested they remove the cost of the dish from the bill. However they did not charge us for it (I was not going to pay for it anyway) and unfortunately we won't go back to eat...

Horrible services and foods. First time, I went to the restaurant at 4:30, first customer, I ordered take aways and waited for my foods, 2 tables came after me but got served before me. I waited more than 30 mins for my food. I ordered whole barramundi with spicy sauce, fish was ok, sauce was too liquid, not much chili, garlic and herb in it.

Second time I ordered Thai style chicken basil. OMG, I did believe that the chef didn't taste the food before serving or he might have dropped the whole jar of sugar onto my food. So sweet, even me who prefer my food to be a little sweet couldn't handle it. I ate 1/4 of that meal and threw it away.

Even I have a chance to go back to Adelaide, I will not go back to your restaurant again. Stay...

Great little gem of a restaurant that deserves their success- great tasting food in a family-style environment Well cooked Thai food is always a winning combination, and this place is no exception. Where they separate themselves from others is the environment you walk into Coming in, you feel as though you've walked into someone's house that loves Thai culture - you're immediately surrounded by decor that feels like a transportation to the countries the food comes from Pair this with dedicated staff serving delicious food and you've got a winning combination. This place feels a bit tucked away, but I am so glad we ate here - others should definitely try

Both the service and food were excellent. While I had the Choo Chee Barramundi (generous helping and beautifully-weighted chilli in the sauce), herself and others at our table had the Duck Tamarind, as recommended by the host. We are generally NOT duck fanciers but I have to say that it was the best duck dish EVER! Great surrounds. We shall be back!
