My mission continues trying as many Bahn Mi as I can over the coming months and add my opinion to the list - Today I find myself in the North Eastern Suburbs where there is a reasonable choice but today is Banh Mi K
Fist challenge is stopping close by as the traffic going past can be brutal but you can park across the road or chance it at the front. This is a very unassuming shop front but inside there is plenty of seating Lets' just rate the combination Bahn Mi though: at $8 The Combo roll is outstanding value with about $1 less for a single basic filling The combo filling is generous and well balanced with the traditional carrot, cucumber and daikon plus pate and sauces. The roll itself was crisp outside and soft inside, with a little chew and is what I like. The roll seemed warmed and was perhaps a little fragile but good anyway. I copped a large piece of chilly on my last bite so it took a while to see if the flavour stayed----and it did

Read moreWell, I guess this will be the new weekly treat for dinner! I have had their Banh Mi quite a few times which never disappoints, and always wanted to try their main meals. Wish I tried them sooner! The food was absolutely delicious - smelt beautiful and tasted amazing!! Serving sizes were generous, we even had leftovers. I highly recommend their Banh Mi, Pho and Beef Kway Teow!! Also their entre chicken satays - to die for!! Staff were super friendly and helpful, very welcoming from when you walk in to when you walk out. Thanks so much for an amazing feed, and fantastic service. I will be visiting regularly 😊
P.S: Wait time was minimal, I arrived much earlier than originally anticipated for take away after work, my food was ready quite quickly and they were happy to accommodate the earlier pick up -...
Read moreI was really looking forward to the roast pork banh mi after reading all the reviews but was quite disappointed. Would have given one star if not for the price and the fact that there was a good amount of pork. What is a roast pork roll without the crispy skin roast pork? Compared to the one in Mawson Lakes where they have crispy roast pork and top it with additional crackling, I would gladly pay 50 cents more. I can't even find one piece crispy skin in the entire roll. Will stick with the one at Mawson Lakes for real...
