This place is one of the best Italian cafés in Adelaide. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the staff. The Breakfast menu was not that extensive, but the sexy croissants blinked on us. The freshly made croissants were amazing. Coffee was excellent too. Exactly what you expected from Italian cafes. There's a sort of supermarket in the same building as the cafe. Lots of variety of Italian ingredients, snacks, cheese, etc. The only thing to mention is this place is slightly pricey compared to many other supermarkets and cafés. Bottom line, if you're into Italian-type environment and price is not a big deal for you, this is a must place to go.

Wow, been here a few times but had a wonderful waitress(little pocket rocket) full of smiles and energy. Food options for breakfast great, but we chose the specials, one being scrambled eggs with asparagus and for Di latte. The other scrambled eggs, mushroom and chilli pork sausage. I was already coffee'd out so ordered their green tea which was one of the best I have tasted (check photos). I will be back!

This is a regular lunch spot for us and we generally love the food and service. However since the "table service" has come into play the service aspect has gone downhill. Our order was forgotten and we waited quite a while our coffee was cold and drank by the time our cakes came. The food was good I had eggs with broccoli and my boyfriend had the beek cheeks which were delicious.

An authentic blend of traditional Italian ingredients to purchase with a cafe that offers a fresh eatery experience. The customer service can benefit for those whom had booked ahead of time but can be better for those who arrive without one, though with the popular cafe it’s to be expected so it’s taken with a grain of salt. The food tasted incredible, with stored-sourced ingredients for their dishes made as authentic as any Italian dishes you may had tasted. However, for a “large” $28 dollars pasta, the child-sized portion, without any sight of mushroom or basil unless asked for with additional cost, can be disappointing with the price paid. The dessert however, will blow you away with the quality of the baked goods and options. Thus, Mercato is recommended for anyone in Adelaide who wanted to experience an amazing authentic Italian cuisine with the option of purchasing and making similar (depends on one’s cooking skills) dishes made in store, but not for a filling meal for the price...

My husband and I and a dear friend enjoyed a beautiful breakfast at Mercato a couple of Saturday's ago. I just couldn't get over the quality of the server, Mary, who was pleasant, professional and attentive; ensuring that our coffee's were timed just right so we could savor them prior to our meal. We were amazed at the size of Mercato and enjoyed a ramble around the aisles when we finished our meal. The stock and inventory is quite extensive and Kiron did a great job with our wine tasting experience. Overall, it was a lovely way to start our weekend and we couldn't recommend Mercato highly enough. You will not be disappointed ... be sure to...

Went here for my birthday lunch. Menu is not very clear on what dishes are, and some things we just had no clue what they were. I ordered the chicken Cotoletta (chicken cutlet), prosciutto, grana Padano which was nothing like I thought it would be. Just like a chicken schnitzel with the prosciutto and grated cheese on top. No sauce or side salad, nothing but the dry chicken. For $29 I expected a little more than that. Some gravy or a tomato salsa would have been nice. Better to get a meal at a pub. Also wasn't a fan of their menu. Was hardly anything much to choose from. Will not be going back there again. Very disappointing and expensive...
