They shuffled Ubereats deliverers outside in a rainy day, no respect for delivery drivers, shame on you guys.
—— I edited the review and somehow the owner’s answer disappeared. Just for the record he did reply to my message in detail and explained the situation. Below is my reply to his answer.
Hi Stephen,
I appreciate your timely reply but I still believe you can do better than this. Yes I understand your restaurant has limited capacity but you should also be aware that your demanding uber drivers to leave the premise in order to make room for new customers is pure discrimination. Uber drivers are representatives of your customers, you receive the same amount of money per order, the only difference between uber drivers and us normal customers is that those customers are not physically present. I doubt if you would ask a customer who had just ordered the food to wait outside in the rain, when there are obviously empty seats everywhere. But you would do so to uber drivers, which is quite telling of your value - you believe that uber drivers are inferior to normal customers and it is ok for them to suffer so long as it is convenient for you. You would push them out like a bunch of homeless because you think the crowd make your store look bad, even if they have done nothing wrong and are just making honest money.
The number of uber drivers in your store is indicative of the number of customers you are catering for. Imagine you have 15 customers in store waiting for food, that is full-house. It is only natural for new customers to go eat somewhere else. You should not sacrifice uber drivers rights in order to pursue higher revenue, that is pure vanity. That why your statement of ‘the only way to control crowding’ and ‘facilitate the in store customer’ makes no sense to me, if you are reaching your limit, maybe stop taking orders, call it a day. Any customer with the least notion of equity would understand the situation.
As a customer I am deeply disappointed by the way you treat uber drivers. Most of them are strong and diligent people who are working their butt off to make their life turn around. You do not have to make them look bad in front of the...
Read moreStaff is highly unprofessional and rude. I was there to collect 2 UberEats orders. Let's say that I was promised X amount before accepting delivery. It was busy but I noticed that walk-in customers were served first regardless of their arrival time and Uber drivers were made to wait. After waiting for around 30 minutes, a girl came to me with an order and asking me to cancel another order. I asked her reason for cancellation and she said it is not ready and it will take 5 more minutes. I said I can wait. But to my reply, she got angry and started shouting that you are taking one or you are taking none! After that she tried to wrench order from me. Then it got heated. Then another guy from kitchen started asking me to cancel order. I had arguments with staff and then when they noticed that I won't cancel any order then they agreed to prepare another order. That girl angrily dropped both orders next to me.
I had waited there because my app showed me "X" dollars before accepting delivery. If I cancel that order then I do not only lose money but my acceptance rate is affected which will impact my future deliveries.
Just so that you owner know... I made sure to tell whole story to customers and they said that they won't be ordering again after such long wait time.
Staff is inhumane and gives no attention to drivers. Do not treat them as a driver but as a representative of your customers or may be your potential customer in future. They are not going to drive Uber forever and those drivers. Also they will make sure to let people know about truth and your unprofessional...
Read moreHave given these guys 3 shots, each time they manage to stuff something up. Used their own burgertec app to order each time. 1st visit - I added bacon to my burger when ordering, there was no bacon on the burger I recieved. It cost 3 dollars to add, which I did not get. I did not know there was no bacon til I had gotten home. 2nd visit - Added bacon again to my burger on that app, but checked before I drove off that there was bacon added to my burger, there was not. I went back in, with my receipt that clearly said + bacon, and they put bacon on. No sorry for the stuff up, nothing. The guy behind the counter literally said not one word. 3rd visit - Ordered a Fun-Guy Vegan burger on the app. Asked for pick up at 6pm. When they accepted the order in app, it said ready in 10 mins (which would have been 510pm), so had to ring and correct them that it was wanted at 6pm. Arrived at 6, they had made me the wrong burger, they saw vegan and automatically cooked the vegan patty, not the mushroom burger. Why do they never read the order slips? I've given them all the chances, but sorry, you've lost my business. If you have an app, that prints out exactly what the customer wants, you should be able to make what is said, as you have written proof. Not...
