Extremely rude service, very rude woman serving, they don't know the meaning of customer service and should NOT be in retail! We will NOT be returning to this store, even though its the closest bubble tea nearest to our home! The woman that served us was extremely rude, was not welcoming to me and my daughter but then was really nice to her friend and gave her a loyalty card that wasn't offered to me?! Finally when we picked up our order and asked for a loyalty card and said I didn't actually know they had loyalty cards in the store(?), the woman serving got very defensive and said that I should've seen she was too busy and also then stated they have loyalty cards for regular customers. I have been a regular customer with my daughter and have never been offered a loyalty discount card!? My daughter and I were belittled and felt very upset when we left the store and quite bewildered on how anyone could be treated in such a manner ?! We will Never return as customers and tell everyone we know not to go there unless they want to experience such rudeness and, will drive the extra kilometres to Norwood to get our bubble tea from...
Read moreYou can't advertise as 'fresh tea' then not allow customers to make any adjustments to their drink. They have completely missed the point of bubble tea.
The first time I went I ordered the passion fruit lemon with honey jelly but asked to substitute the honey jelly for pearls + lychee jelly, which they happily did. The second time I went I was served by a rude lady (must be the same one in all the reviews!!) and she told me I can't swap out the honey jelly. I told her I did it last time and she said doesn't matter she can't do it this time. I asked whether the drink is made fresh and she said yes so I really couldn't understand why she wasn't able to do it. She couldn't even give me a reason as to why she is refusing.
She was so rude and not at all helpful. I asked if I could get the passion fruit green tea and add the lemon and she again said no. I ended up with a below average drink that I did not enjoy at all.
If I was management I would seriously consider dismissing this worker or maybe familiarising her with the concept of 'fresh' bubble tea since the whole concept of bubble tea is to customise...
Read moreCoco Boba near my place is alright when I’m in the mood for bubble tea, especially late at night. It’s open until 11pm, which I really appreciate since most other places close earlier. That late opening is probably the main reason I go there.
Parking’s never a problem — there’s plenty of it, so I can just drive in, grab my drink, and head off without stressing about finding a spot.
As for the drinks, they’re okay. Not the best I’ve had, but not the worst either. They’re pretty standard — nothing that really stands out.
The service, though, could use a lot of improvement. The staff don’t come across as friendly, and they work really slowly. Even when the place isn’t busy, I find myself waiting much longer than I should. It’s frustrating sometimes, especially when I’m just trying to grab a quick drink and go.
Overall, Coco Boba’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way for, but it’s decent enough when it’s late and I want something nearby. The parking and late hours are what keep me coming back once in a while. If the staff were more welcoming and things moved a bit faster, I’d probably stop...
