Well, I have been here many times and I do love the atmosphere - especially outside (its nice!)! I have had great coffees and great meals MOST often! I have to say that yesterday just didn't quite make the mark, BUT don't write them off just on this one occasion.

The only critique I have yesterday was the Corn & Zuchinni Fritters. I have already passed this along to the staff, so they are already aware. And thats actually why I didn't downgrade their stars much because when I mentioned I wasn't completely happy - they listened, they asked questions and they showed initiative to give a better result from that. At the end of the day, I appreciated that the most.

I can't just eat and say "it was GREAT" and then turn around and say less than that. I mean I could've done that - but I don't actually think that is fair. So - here it is, my only little negative point. On this one occasion, the plate looked AMAZING - but tasted & looked sadly a little undercooked. Usually bacon can cover many sins, but even on this occasion that was unable to hold cover for the meal. When fritters are done real good, with all the toppings and avocado and egg on top - its a rather beautiful dish!

So - lets be real. Things happen sometimes, so lets not dismiss this great cafe on one small thing. Lets keep supporting and looking after our local businesses! I'll be back again for those fritters and I am sure they will be...

To be honest, food is good. Looks fancy, tastes not bad. Good for pictures. Size is generous HOWEVER, worst customer service ever in my last 4 years! Staff wouldn’t take my booking beforehand, so we had to wait on the day. I mean I wouldn’t mind waiting but my friend was in a hurry to catch a flight. That’s why I did ring to book because we didn’t want to wait. Staff was rude! She seated someone else who came later than us and totally forgot us! gave me wrong order. I ordered long back, but was given latte. She told me latte at first. I said I ordered long black. She thought for 2 secs and told me “yeah long black”. I opened the lid and found it was latte. Why did you lie?? If you’re not sure, pls confirm. Don’t lie. Staff didn’t apologise at all. even worse, I reported all these hiccups to a man who was working at front desk and claimed he is the boss. Didn’t apologise either. Did his best to find all the excuses. 20min wait is normal. Staff is too busy. If you’re not happy I can’t do anything about It etc. he raised his voice so much when I was trying to talk. Kept talking over me. Didn’t care when I told him there are other customers who are not happy. He told me they can complain for themselves.

Worst experience! I don’t need your attitude to ruin a beautiful day with my friends.

Definitely don’t recommend. I’ll...

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unsatisfactory Service and Charges on 26/12/2024

Dear Manager,

I am writing to share my disappointment with the service I experienced at your establishment on 26/12/2024. My recent visit was deeply unsatisfactory and has left me with serious concerns.

During my visit, I found a piece of plastic in my drink. When I informed your waiter about the issue, they simply took the cup away without offering any apology or acknowledgment. There was no effort to address the situation or provide any form of resolution, which I found both unprofessional and disrespectful.

To make matters worse, when settling the bill, there was no mention of any compensation for the incident. Instead, we were unexpectedly charged a “Christmas Boxing Day surcharge,” along with an additional 15% on top of the bill. These charges totaled approximately $50 extra.

What concerns me further is that these charges were applied without clear prior notice to customers. Transparency in pricing is essential, and I feel this was not adequately communicated.

Overall, this experience has left me with a very negative impression. I hope you take this feedback seriously and take the necessary steps to improve both service quality and pricing...

The servers were lovely any a lot of passion for the job. The juices and smoothies are some of the best in adelaide. Coffee is more than just a morning ritual – it is a treasure of the modern world. In a society that moves at lightning speed, coffee provides a moment of pause, comfort, and connection. Its rich history, from ancient Ethiopian traditions to today’s bustling cafés, reminds us that coffee has always been about more than caffeine – it is culture, community, and craft. The Coffee Institute highlights this treasure beautifully, showcasing the artistry that goes into every cup. In today’s world, coffee should be cherished as a daily reminder of how something small can bring people together, spark creativity, and fuel progress.

They were really full so we sat outdoors and they gave us blankets which was lovely. The banana bread is probably one of the best I’ve had in Adelaide - it was $8 so I was surprised when it looked so fancy! It was moist and fluffy (could be fluffier, but that’s just my preference), and it wasn’t dense. The passionfruit butter was a nice complement. The pulled pork Benedict ($18) was really good! The pulled pork was tender and flavourful. However, the poached eggs were slightly overdone and i think they put too much vinegar into the water they used to boil the eggs - the egg whites were almost slightly rubbery. That could be me nitpicking though. Great prices, service, and food - I’ll be back!
