Wow, haven't been for awhile, but back on a November Saturday night 2021 to celebrate a 50th, the level of service was excellent. The floor staff super efficient & diligent in their work, the bar staff super friendly & accommodating, a lovely & welcoming experience all round, still a good ambience & atmosphere, happy to be back.

This is an interesting establishment where equally as many good & bad episodes can all occur in the one evening, & so it came to pass. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday, we often come here because we like the ambience & enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are generally young, friendly & energetic with beaming smiles, but there were two exceptions with sour faces this evening. These two persons obviously in the wrong vocation & need to be weeded out. The evening went well, it was busy & filled with loud conversation, Chelsea, the girl that took our orders was an asset to this venue, very positive & cheerful. She said it would be a 40 minute wait for our main meals, we were happy to wait, drink & converse. HOWEVER, when the meals finally arrived, ALL the chips were cold. We were prepared to wait 40 minutes, but expected a hot meal at the least. I made this known to the kitchen manager, she barely acknowledged the complaint, then continued with her back turned & ignored our complaint. No HOT chips arrived. I then approached Chelsea, she was brilliant, offered six coffees & cake on the house to appease our disappointment. She notified the senior manager, Jonathan, he also was brilliant, apologised & immediately addressed the situation. We left happy, the food here is generally good & reasonably priced. There was just something about it. It's got that suburban feel of this is where Mumma Jo likes the house box muscato and Pa can get "the beer we all think he likes" every anniversary or special occasion we pile in here and the wait staff all know us. But they only know them cause Pa spends a few nights a week drinking after work without Ma and it's a big joke - everyone knows him. The food is better than average. For 2025 it's the same as all the other pubs. There's definitely weird interpretations of some meals like the surf and turf is a steak with a pot of white sauce, the waiter pointed out the 4 tiny fried rice sized prawns floating in there. Good old, one person's meal was missing and we waited 10 mins, they had to go chase it up oh surprise, it was just out the back.... again at dessert, missing a different person, it was an odd number and the last one didn't come out so we waited 15mins to get it.... waited for a takeaway container - it was the size of his head for the size of his palm. There is just a lot of half done things giving it a franchised night in the burbs feels. If you're not into screaming children, it's not the place for you. About 90% of the conversation was missed from screaming kids. I don't know perhaps add some crayons, paper, ipads, or anything, just give them icecream and make it stop. Very late 80s bistro vibes. It's unfortunate cause with a bit of a polish it definitely could be a 10/10.... we'll see in a few years if it's better. But for a little over $200 for 3, we'll try somewhere else first. I know...

Got taken here for Christmas with the immediate family (they're notoriously difficult... celiac, dairy and seafood allergies) and scored pole position in the car park, so was off to a great start. An extensive menu with pub classics and some awesome specials. Coupled with a seemingly inexhaustible beer selection. We ordered, Barramundis, stuffed chicken, chicken schnitzels, couple porterhouses and a couple garlic breads and potato entrees. Our food came out and they gave us a garlic pizza instead. We sent it back, no problem, our food came out and one schnitzel was missing. We waited and started eating but still no second schnitty. We went and sorted it out and the staff were awesome. Even though a couple tiny mistakes were made, the staff were always polite, courteous and accommodating (which can be trying at the best of times with my siblings family). Plenty of talent in the place and it was packed with clientele having a good time. Then I found out there was some special deal for ALH hotels thing and the food was heavily discounted as was the beer.....I then asked why they don't eat there every night! I had the stuffed chicken and gave it a 10/10. Get your faces down there and get on whatever deal there is and enjoy.... Oh the staff even turned off the fans because Nanna was too cold.
