Small basic shop along Main North Road. You can smell the spices cooking even before you reach the shop. Best thing was the garlic and cheese naan. The cheese oozes out of the naan. Can't get these naan anywhere else. Butter chicken was alright, the sauce was too watery, would prefer a creamier thicker sauce. Palak paneer was good, well balanced flavour with thick sauce. Lamb korma was alright. Sauce was borderline being a bit diluted. Meat was not very tender. Not much meat in it. Overall not bad in terms of price. Mango lassi was quite small for the small and it was already $4

Ordered takeaway for 2 Veg biryani costing $34 after seeing some good review about it, but was very disappointed plus the taste was disgusting . It was not even closer to biryani or veg pulao. The Rice was not basmati with no whole spices and all it had was peas peas and peas and few chunks of cauliflower and capsicum. If your chef call this as veg biryani then please rename it as peas rice. Please don’t mis sell to the customer so that they won’t come back to you. Literally a thumbs down 👎 to your so called veg biryani.

We had dinner at Mela Indian Restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. For the entree, we tried the veg momos, chicken tikka, and dahi bhalla. Each bite was delicious and perfectly spiced. For the mains, we enjoyed the rarha chicken and palak paneer, both cooked to perfection with rich, aromatic gravies. the rarha chicken had the perfect blend of spices. The entire meal was delightful, and we can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu.overall 10/10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visited mela last night for dinner and we were after a table of 4. We were told by a staff to sit at a corner table that had dishes of people who ate and left. We waited for a couple of minutes wondering when a staff will come and clean the table for us and nobody did so one of my friends walked up to the counter and requested someone to clear the table and still no one came and after 5 minutes I told someone “Excuse can you please clean the table”. Then the lady who came to take the order after she wrote everything down she was AGGRESSIVELY RUDE and the way I spoke was not nice and she didn’t like it and she created a scene in front of the whole restaurant. She did not even bother to listen to me and she kept screaming and raising her voice and she walked away and because I’m nice and not like her I left it and did not create a scene. Last once we finished eating food I very politely requested one of the staff male to call her and very calmly I told her “ the way you spoke to me with your TONE, ATTITUDE in front of everyone was very rude and was absolutely disgusting. She then went about the fact that it was my fault that I told her to clean the table. I work in hospitality and it’s common sense that if someone has come you either tell them to wait you clean the table and then they sit not tell them to sit and then come when you want to … to clean the table. The lady was also telling me how there were less staff so that’s not my problem. That is NO EXCUSE. At the end another staff lady was nice and she said we are sorry and I was like you should be and the other lady who spoke to me RUDELY yelled and was like WE ARE NOT SORRY AND WE ARE NOT YOUR SERVANT’S. Firstly you be RUDE TO ME, YOU HAVE A DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR AND ON TOP OF THAT YOU YELL SAYING YOUR NOT SORRY AND YOUR NOT MY SERVANT’S. This is absolutely disgusting behavior and it’s not tolerated by ANYONE. If you have this kind of attitude don’t work at a field like hospitality if you don’t have the guts to be nice to people and agree to your mistake. It’s as...

Well, this restaurant is just delicious! After eating Indian food in many places across Adelaide, it's hard to impress me...but this restaurant truly is a breath of fresh air. Fluffy, fresh Naan, delicious Dal Makhni and tasty Raita, this is my new go to Indian restaurant. Might I add, Its exceptionally hard to impress me with a butter chicken, most Indian restaurant have infact turned me off eating Butter Chicken purely based on the quality of the chicken used and flavorless, dull sauce. Please do your self a favour and try their Butter Chicken, the sauce has depth of flavour, creamy and rich, just the way it should be! You will not be disappointed. This restaurant should knock any competition a mile away ! Great job Mela Master of Indian Food, hats off for reinvigorating my love for...

Very poor service. Food wasn't that good beside beef vinderloo and goat curry and cheese naan. There was 4 of us and only got 3 plates and glasses. All the food came out at ones the entree and the Mains. When I told them can it come out one by one they just took the Mains back and placed it on the bench. Then bring it out with curries all cold. Kept having to put my hand up for them to look at us so we could get some service even after calling out for help as they are walking by. No smiles on the faces or anything. Just pure rude! Regret going here. Also plz don't order the chicken briyani. It's...
