We attend the Monday quiz nights and have been for quite some time. Last Monday on ordering, I asked the girl if she wanted my pub card, she said no doesn't do anything, ok but then was distracted in mid order she used the walk talky, then when I went to still request what I wanted a guy appeared maybe from the front bar with 2 bottles of wine, which she took off him and went to put in the fridge, easily distracted with no excuse me, but that's ok I'm patient. I swiped my card and my fault I should of questioned before I swiped card as I thought that seemed a lot more expensive than usual (I have the same meal every time chicken schnitzel with garlic prawn topping) so I mentioned it to her asking why $42+ she said what she thought I'd ordered but I hadnt. She wasn't happy I wanted a refund for what I didn't order & said manager was in the kitchen and busy and only they could give a refund, so I stood aside so others could be served, one of my table even came up and asked if I was ok as I was waiting so long. She then said so it's chicken parmy with garlic prawns sauce and I said no and repeated my order, she said that's not what you ordered I said it was and insisted on telling me I was wrong. If I wasn't with my group I would of asked for my money back and left, in fact they said I should write a review on what happened because she was so rude.. She was distracted and downright rude and wasn't listening, all she had to say was im sorry and sort it but no she just gave me attitude. Also a long time later my friend said I think that might be the manager, as the girl was talking to another girl, so I went up and heard her telling the manager about me and not telling the truth in what happened. The young guy who takes orders is always lovely, but if he's not there and she is i wont be ordering off her & would rather go without. Making mistakes happens but being rude and giving me attitude is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter looking for somewhere to have lunch while our car was being serviced, we ended up choosing here. We were 15 minutes early to bistro opening time at 12 & went to enter through a side door. It wasn't open, so as we went to find another entrance, staff member Kiara, unlocked the door for us early & invited us in. As we sat down she told us the daily specials & also informed us where the toilets were. After deciding what we wanted, Kiara informed us the chef would take our order when we were ready, even though it wasn't quite opening time. My husband & I both ordered the special of the day which was fish & chips for $17 each. My husband had crumbed & I grilled. It was fresh, as was the salad on the side & the chips were crunchy & not greasy at all. The tartae sauce was definately made fresh, not out of a bottle, as I could taste the dill & there was tiny bits of gherkin, so I'm glad I asked for extra sauce, it was absolutely delicious. We want to say thank you to Kiara, for a pleasent & friendly experience. She was not pushy or over the top, she was friendly & welcoming, but knew exactly how to genuinely treat a customer & she didn't seem to stop the entire time we were there, she kept busy. Also the music volume playing was really comfortable not to mention it was easy listening, considering our age, enjoyed just chilling & relaxing. We would recommend this bistro to all, as the menu had something for everyone on it & was really well priced. We'll definately be back all the way from Port Adelaide! THANKYOU & don't change your ways, this is a great atmosphere &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's been a long time since here and the last. Went for dinner and standing at counter with no one behind it, waiting and more waiting looking around - no staff. Start to walk away then manager comes. Friend ordered a beer for $7.50 as advertised. Younger tallish blonde worker with hair in ponytail and 2 earrings in nose wants to charge $9. Had to say 'look at your marketing - it's $7.50'. He tried to use points on Pub+ card but she had no idea what to do and said 'it won't work'. He 'why not', she 'I don't know'. Gives her $20.50 in cash, she gives $11.00 back. He pointed out it was incorrect and needed $2.00 to make it $13.00 in change. She had no idea $20.50-$7.50=$13.00. She then gave him $20.00 back. He had to explain. Still no idea and she got a calculator out. He said 'I can do maths, you need to give me $13.00 back'. Shocking you employ staff who can't do simple maths. Better check cash registers each evening as that's one reason for a business to quickly go broke. She delivers our meals to Table 9 instead of Table 7. $20 wing special - dry, tasteless. Go try Colonnades 5th Quarter Wings to see how to make and present. An incident then occurred and an ambulance had to be called for an older lady. Young male staff member didn't even know how to secure open main doors for ambulance trolley to get in - Manager had to do it. Test and employ staff who know how to count and train them in what to do in...
