Morphett Vale Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Adelaide

Been coming here for 20 years. Food aha always been good (chips used to be better when they were that orangey colour but still o.k) Disappointed with the customer service I received tonight. Strangely every time we go (maybe once a month) there is a different lot of people working. Asked politely if I could please add a Caesar salad to my order, server (older lady) wasn’t happy with the extra work by the grunt I got.

She then started to fill up a container with a seafood salad and I tried to stop her by politely saying excuse me but to no avail. I thought perhaps this was for someone else but I then saw her go to put it in my food bag (saw my name) and I loudly said SORRY that’s meant to be a Caesar salad. I then got another grunt, an eye roll and a hand waved at me like ‘well you can wait now’ and she went on to serve 3 more people (no smiles or friendly attitude for them either) despite my food being ready because she didn’t want to deal with it.

She ended up making another girl get my salad and hand over my food so I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to express my disappointment in her rude service. So here we are. If you don’t like dealing with customers or food etc. get out of hospitality. Fine a new job.

Way overpriced for the quality. I ordered a chicken schnitzel pack and a Greek salad.

The chicken was dry and tough, I think they either order their schnitzels frozen or they don't know how to make a tender schnitzel. Carrots and peas were not cooked through and had an odd flavour, not fresh tasting at all.

Greek salad was very weird too. They used olives with seeds in them, probably to cut costs. Never had a Greek salad where they use olives with seeds in them. The flavour wasn't right either, I don't know what herbs were used but something was weird about it.

The chicken was so dry neither my husband or I could even pull it apart to eat and we could not even chew it. I’m sure it was reheated old chicken didn’t even taste nice. There was more chickens being cooked which looks nice and juicy but she gave me one out of the warmer where there was only 2 hence I think they ran out and heated an old chicken.
