Funk Coffee & Food — Restaurant in Adelaide

I recently visited this cafe and had a mixed experience. The coffee was absolutely excellent – one of the best I've had in a while, and the service from the guy at the front counter was fantastic. He was super friendly and had great customer service skills, which made the visit pleasant.

However, the food was disappointing. I ordered the bacon and eggs on sourdough, and unfortunately, it was not up to standard. The eggs were unpleasant and tasted off, while the bacon was overcooked and tough. I could barely take more than a couple of bites before deciding to leave it behind. The sourdough bread was okay, and at least it was toasted well.

I'm really sorry to leave this kind of review because the staff were so nice, but the food quality didn’t match the excellent coffee and service. I will definitely return for the coffee, but I’m afraid I won’t be ordering food again...

Funk Coffee & Food on Flinders Street delivers great coffee, friendly service, and an easygoing café vibe in a busy part of town.

Stopped in for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised at how well they do the basics.

Food and Drink (4/5): I only grabbed a skinny cappuccino this time, but it was made well with good temperature and flavour. The food on display looked really tasty, so I’m keen to come back and try something off the menu next time.

Service (4.5/5): Staff were friendly, easygoing, and quick to help. You’ll need a key for the bathroom, but they hand it over without any fuss.

Atmosphere (4/5): A comfortable café with plenty of seating in a popular area. Good spot to sit down for a break, catch up with someone, or grab a takeaway on the go.

Overall: A reliable café with great coffee, warm service, and a nice vibe. I’ll definitely be back to...

I COME INTO THIS CAFE TWO OFTEN 3 TIMES A WEEK AND VERY OFTEN BRING ABOUT TEN OR MORE OTHERS WITH ME ,WE ALTOGETHER SPEND A LOT OF MONEY. I AM 68 YEARS OLD AND YES STAFF VERY STIFFLY APPEAR TO BE FRIENDLY BUT I NOTE WITH THE TWO FEMAL WORKERS INCLUDING A YOUNG GIRL THEY RATHER LOOK DOWN AT ME AS MUCH AS TO SAY , HERE COMES THE IDIOT ...JUST A RATHER UP THEMSELVES .IF THEY REALIZE OR NOT SHOW THEIR TWO COLOURS ,RUDE...YOUNG GIRL LOOKS AT MANAGER ..HERE IT COMES..ACTUALLY VERY RUDE...SICKENING FEELING..HAS POTENTIAL TO BE A GOOD PLACE BUT NOT WITH THAT VERY RUDE INSINCERE MANNER .
