A casual lunch with my friend last spring... The roasted pork banh mi (meat roll) was so yummy, the taste was harmonious between vegetables, pickle, herbs and slices of roasted pork that were evenly and beautifully cut. My friend ate tofu banh mi, she complimented a lot on its taste and ate it all deliciously under the Adelaide blue sky. We ate and strolled along Flinders Road lined with gentle purple phoenix flowers. A gentle breeze blew a faint scent that made our hair fly in the sunshine and the spring breeze.🌼🌼🌼 Update: I've been back a few times for vermicelli noodles, beef noodles (pho) and meat rolls. The vermicelli noodles and pho are quite good, unfortunately, the broth is not hot enough and they don't serve lemon for the pho as well. Although we ordered two combination pho, they only served rare beef pho. Therefore, other dishes can reach 5 stars, meanwhile only 4 stars for pho. 4.5 stars Thanks!

This is one of my most favourite Vietnamese restaurant for lunch in Adelaide city. Their staff are mostly friendly and efficient. I reckon their prices were slightly cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants in the city. The food portion was reasonable, and the food favour was absolutely good. My favourite dishes include roasted pork rice bowl, grilled lemon grass chicken bun bowl and beef Pho etc. They are pretty busy during lunch. However, most people usually just order takeaway food, so finding a table is not too difficult. They are fast and efficient too, so usually waiting time for food would not be too long.

Best Pho I’ve ever had. I eat here reasonably regularly to get my Pho fix. Their dish is fragrant, tasty and fresh. Rare beef is good quality free of gristle or extraneous fat, and there’s no mystery gristly sausage bits that you often find elsewhere. Their Bahn mi’s are pretty good as well….

I used to get a Banh Mi deal frequently from this place. The staff has always been very friendly. I always asked to have mayo spread on both side of my bread and this has never been an issue... Until today! As usual, the nice lady asked if I wanted my bread with mayo on both sides, which I confirmed. Then I went to pay, and the young guy entered $15.95, the normal price for the meal. All of a sudden, the other man came from behind him and told him to stop and charge me $0.50 more for "Extra Butter"!!! I asked them if they were joking as I never had this request additional amount before and believe me, there is not worth $0.50 of extra mayo on that small bread! The lady was very surprised. I paid and said this would be the last time they see me. This was ridiculous to charge me more for that. Especially as there is no mention of "Extra Mayo or Extra Butter = $0.50" advertised on their boards! This is arbitrary and against the consume protection act. Good by Tay Do... Keep practicing such tricks on your customers and soon they will all go to the opposite...

I'm on a quest for the best bahn mi's in Adelaide. Will I be back to Tay Do? NO. No one can justify $17.50 for a roast pork bahn mi with extra meat. Not that it tasted horrible, they did enough, except to disclose the extra cost.. By the time you get to the pay counter the bread is in your hand. Now what do you do when the staff are clearly proud of their efficiency (they should be) and you're asked to fork out a nearly unquantifiable amount of money to deal with the situation you just found yourself in? Something doesn't add up but - I reckon I could feed five children for that much hard earned... Not that I will though. They have...
