Mylk Bar — Restaurant in Adelaide

I really wanted to like this place.

My party of 6 arrived for drinks and small bites while we had a casual meeting after work at around 5.30pm 10/1.

Two of our party ordered whiskey sours, which we were told were unavailable. We asked for a food menu, to be told that food wasn't being served in the evening except for Thursday - Saturday. Iirc food needs to be served at any venue serving liquor? Don't quote me on that. The menu online made no mention of no food in the evenings sun-wens either way.

We ordered a round of drinks while waiting for our last colleague. My long island iced tea had a fly in it. We got a very weak apology and no mention of whether a remake or refund was being offered. A remake was given. I'll note that the flavour was completely different from the first, or even the long island my other colleague had ordered. It didn't feel like the drink recipes were being followed.

Another colleague had ordered a whiskey and he had noticed a spider in the bottom. We called over a server and her response was bewildering. We explained and showed her the very large spider and she replied "I didn't make it...so??" And walked off. I chased her down asked her not to remake it and we were leaving. We didn't even wait for a refund and went to another place close by.

I'd also like to mention the state of the female bathroom. I didn't take my phone in so no photos. But the hand sanitizer had hairs caked on it and the excess gunk had dried over the nozzle. The basins were not clean and there was a clear mop pattern on the floor and splash marks on the wall denoting a dirty mop and not mopping into the corners.

Your staff don't care. If I were the owner I'd clean house. If the owners the cause, this place is...

My Girlfriend and I were looking for a great place to share dinner and a drink at when we found Mylk Bar. We saw the excellent menu and decided to try it out. We were not dissapointed. The atmosphere is rather relaxed, the demographic was varied; from families to groups of mates to other couples. The food was awesome and plentiful, and not too shabby for the price. Most staff gave a positive vibe. Some staff members attitude and vibes alone are worth returning for. The drinks variety is rather wide and the various events look like there is never a dull moment. The place itself is rather pleasant as well. Clean, well kept and comfortable seating is available. Can be quite crowded when it is busy which, depending on your taste, really does add to the awesome atmosphere. The wait times are fairly good, but I would definitely be prepared for a wait when it gets a bit busy. Finding somewhere to park near Mylk Bar was not difficult and is ideal if you prefer the quieter parts if the city of Adelaide. Admittedly, when I entered I was a little bit intimidated and lost as to where to go, but I was approached by probably the friendliest staff I have ever met, she sorted us out and we were right into it. Depending on your tastes as well, this is certainly not a quiet bar. The background music sets the atmosphere, but with a crowd plus music, might be a bit overwhelming for those looking for a more quiet...

I hate giving negative feedback, but some corrections in cleanliness and staff treatment of customers need to be addressed here. Took my staff for a drink and a meal. Tuesday last week. No meals are served on Tuesdays. Ordered drinks, and when one of the colors of the cocktails faded, a fly was found in the glass. The drink was taken back to the bar, no apology was offered by bar staff, a new drink was brought to our table, and again no apology. When the ice in my whisky melted I found a spider in the bottom of my glass, we called the bar staff over and showed them my glass, I offered they may want to check their glasses and got a rude it was not my fault from the bar staff member. As she walked off she said I will get you another one. I said don't bother we are leaving and we left. One fly, maybe but two no way, cleanliness was not being addressed here or checking glasses before filling and the attitude of the staff was appalling. I will not be coming here again and nor will my staff. I hope the owner can...
