We attended the Candlelight Concerts by Fever featuring the best of Joe Hisaishi, performed by the Adelaide Concert Orchestra. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

Many of the pieces were from Hayao Miyazaki's animated films. I grew up watching these films during my childhood and teenage years. These animations instilled in me values of friendship, family, encouragement, determination, commitment, bravery, and love.

As the melodies enveloped the room, scenes from the animations danced in my mind, intertwined with cherished memories from my past.

I learned the violin as a child and played some of these very pieces. They were among my favorites. Familiar with the narratives and rhythms behind them, I felt a profound connection that moved me deeply.

Midway through the concert, the conductor humorously asked if the true Miyazaki fans in the audience were alright. Matt looked over at me just as tears were rolling down my cheeks.

To me, these aren't just compositions. They are treasured memories from my formative years that have greatly influenced the person I am today.

It was my first ever visit to oversea country Australia 🇦🇺 in 2015, still it feels refreshing to look back to those wonderful moments that I came across during my stay in this beautiful country. These candlelight performances are great. The strings were excellent. And the percussionist too. An hour is perfect.

The fever app makes it easy to book and manage. I like trouble free ticketing. We had a good view despite no specific reserved seating and a full-house.

The info says to arrive 30 minutes before kickoff. We did. There was already a queue. It moved quickly and it only took about 10 minutes to get in and sit down. It was similar last time too. The journey's smooth if you follow their advice.

It sounds and looks good in the Town Hall. Coldplay lol. Great performance with nice ambience because of musicians and venue. We went to the 6:00 pm performance. A most excellent beginning to the evening.
