Gloria Jean's Seaford — Restaurant in Adelaide

Shocking experience!!

I ordered a Biscoff latte for myself and a small hot chocolate for my daughter, we approached the counter together. After I ordered and paid I was advised that they had run out of Biscoff and there would be a small wait. I was in a rush, but I understand these things happen. I waited and our drinks were brought over to us..

My daughter took a sip and her drink was so hot she burnt herself, resulting in her crying & spilling her drink on herself. Once I cleaned her up and wiped away her tears (3 mins or there about) I then had a sip of my coffee which was barely lukewarm.

They could see I was ordering the hot chocolate drink for my daughter yet her drink was boiling. Mine was obviously made first and sat there waiting until Biscoff arrived.

To top it all off, when I asked if there were any serviettes to help my daughter, I was just handed a few with no words of apology or words at all for that matter.

I was at Gloria Jean's in Seaford this morning getting a coffee to takeaway, I had my 11 year old step daughter with me, she was leaning on the counter from time to time while we waited for the coffee, as most kids would do. The young girl working there making the coffee ( black hair, small build, piercings, no name badge) rudely said to my step daughter 'move back out of my personal space. To this I was shocked and my step daughter was upset. I am disgusted as to how she spoke to an 11 year old child and to clarify there clearly is a counter and machine between them. My step daughter was not the only person by the counter. Your member of staff has no manners and is just rude. I go for coffee at Gloria Jean's and never have I seen staff speak to their customers the way this girl did today, disgusting. We will be avoiding this...

Usually great service but disappointed today. Young teenage girl working today Sunday morning wasn’t very nice. I ordered a takeaway sandwich, she then took my payment but it wasn’t a pleasant transaction, it was just matter of fact, told to stand over other side pointing, even though there were no customers and I only wanted food item to takeaway so should of been no issue where I was standing. She put food item in bag haphazardly and basically throw it down on the counter at me and walked away. No Thankyou, no have a great day, etc. I understand it’s hard to get teenagers to be polite at times but when you are on the work floor you need to put away the attitude away and be polite and professional to the business you are representing.
