Give this a go when you're in the neighborhood! The food is a mix of Korean and Chinese, which still tastes really nice though there are some differences in ingredients. The seafood pancake is a highlight, with a lot of seafood, crispy and lovely sauce. Beef rib soup is delicious, the ribs are broken down & cut in small pieces unlike other places, with some Chinese apples as well. Bibimbap is really yummy. However, please don't order fried chicken if you are looking for authentic Korean fried chicken. We also love that they have word search books, we really enjoyed doing them while waiting for the food!

Small cozy shop with parking at the back. Doesn't fit many customers.. So definitely have to book first. Kimchi and seafood pancake was delicious and crispy. Sizzling pork was flavoursm and not too sweet. Jajeongmeon was a huge decent portion.. And it's got the authentic saucey flavour. It's not too salty, just nice. Not a fan of the chicken feet unfortunately, it was so difficult to eat, and the tendons were tough so it doesn't fall off the bone easily.. Crispy pork wasnt crispy at all either and not very flavoursm.. Was just alright.. Price is reasonable for the serving size.

Dinner at Hong Bao Korean Restaurant from a couple of weeks ago: delicious Korean food with some super spicy options if you're keen for it 😜😜😜. . KFC half and half with extremely hot and spicy, and soy: nicely done, with the extremely hot option being really spicy!! Lex wanted a challenge 😜😜. . Spicy sea snail salad with thin noodles: this was a really good dish! Never had sea snails before. Lots of tangy flavours. Quite spicy though! . Half and half pancake with kimchi and chive and garlic: huge pancake! Good flavours 🙂🙂.

This place is so amazing in every way. I may sound like a food critic, because I took notes about my experience there, and I have lots of praise to give to this restaurant. I went to this restaurant with a family member, and my experience was amazing.

Firstly, it only took 8 minutes for the food to come out, which is very short, compared to other restaurants that I have been to, where there is high demand. This place is very underrated in my opinion, and is one of the best Korean restaurants in Adelaide.

Secondly, this place was small, and a bit cramped, but the tables were spread out well, and the tables were spread out very well. There was a tv showing multiple Kpop music videos, which set the vibe very well.

Thirdly, even though the menu was small, the food was very well made, and authentically Korean. We ordered the fried chicken, and a big and generous proportion came out to us, with a side of chips. The bimibap tasted authentic and fresh, and the side dishes were very well prepared.

We ordered the Crispy chicken with special sauce, and that did not disappoint. The pork did taste a bit like octopus meat, but that was okay. With the special sauce, it tasted even better.

10/10, I would come here again. If you're in Adelaide and want some Korean food, I would recommend...

This restaurant experience is ridiculous. They forgot my friend’s food and we waited an hour for it to arrive. I had finished eating already when my friend’s food arrived. It is completely not fair for us to wait for an extra hour for your food to arrive. When I tried to talk to one of the waitress, she just walked away without acknowledging me. And you know what, other than all that, the food doesn’t even taste that good! I ordered ginseng chicken soup. My chicken is ridiculously soft, taste like the precooked chicken in a vacuum packaging. The chicken bones simply breakdown and melt in your mouth, which gives a coarse texture and it is disgusting. I have made chicken soup at home before, and there is no way a chicken can be that soft even if you cook it for hours. Extremely disappointed in the restaurant will not come back again. I hope you reflect on our experience and think about how to improve customer experience. For instance, increasing the number of staffs, creating a order system that minimises the errors. Hope your service and food gets better...

I dont know why my review is deleted, hope it was not by the owner. Used to be a huge fan of hongbao but i am SO DISAPPOINTED and will never come back again. I would recommend other korean restaurants. The noodle in black bean pasta was too overcooked so i even didnt finish it and sauce was so watery which is not usual. It was same to the sauce for Fried battered pork. They were so watery literally like water. And everytime i visited there a staff with bleached hair was always unkind. I dont know why she is working there cos she looks so unhappy with her job, doesnt even reply or look back when customers call her, so we had to shout so that everyone in the restaurant could hear what we wanted. No one doesnt care customers inside, and we just gave up asking them. Do you know what my friend said on the day? I told him to ask for more side dishes if he wanted but he said "No i dont want to. She is really not kind"....
