St George Cakes & Gelati — Local services in Adelaide

Absolutely appalling business with complete disregard for their customers. I placed a large online order for continental cakes for my son's engagement a few days before the 4th of January which is when I specified I would be collecting them as the engagement party was that evening. I received a confirmation email from St George Cakes & Gelati that same day confirming the order and pick-up date, also stating that the cakes would be ready for collection on the 4th of January with their address and a contact number if I had any queries. I did ring on the 3rd of January just to confirm that the cakes would be ready the following day (even though I did receive a confirmation email from them) but they didn't answer and their messagebank just stated that they couldn't take my call at the moment but to leave my name and number and they would get back to me (there wasn't even a message stating they were closed until mid-January). I didn't receive a return phone call but I was not too concerned as I had their confirmation email of the order. I drove to their store on Saturday morning from quite a long way away as I live out north of the city and was horrified to learn when I turned up at their store at Trinity Gardens that they were closed until mid-January. This is definitely not acceptable with absolutely no regard for their customers whatsoever. Stay away from them and definitely don't order on-line or even leave a message when they don't answer as there is no guarantee your order will be done or that they will even answer or...

This is the second time I have ordered a cannoli tower for a special occasion. Absolutely amazing each time and everyone loved it! Perfect cannoli, beautifully presented and excellent value. I can’t say enough about the fantastic customer service. I was picking up my order the day before the event and was worried about the cannoli becoming soggy in the fridge overnight….. I’ve had amazing experiences with this bakery for their custom cakes. Last year we had a birthday cake make for my daughter’s birthday, it was beautiful and tasted amazing. Unfortunately I cannot find a photo from it.
