Today I visited Jibbi & Co for my daily caffeine intake.

Upon my arrival I noticed one of the friendly staff was ensuring a new arrival of outdoor tables were perfectly situated to ensure optimal conditions before the tradesman fixed them to the concrete. I was pleasantly greeted when walking past, thinking to myself how nice it is for such a small friendly gesture.

On entering, I was again greeted by another member of staff who promptly took my order. He assisted me in choosing an exciting new milk substitute for my coffee, oat milk, and was very knowledgeable in describing the sweets cabinet contents. I decided on a custard tart to compliment the coffee. It was a mere matter of minutes until I had both coffee and cake in hand, despite the busy tempo at the cafe.

The oat milk was perfectly textured, ensuring my coffee experience was nothing short of incredible. As a barista myself, I'm extremely appreciative of their desire to perfect milk substitutes, knowing full well how difficult it can be to get them textured to perfection comparative to dairy milk. The grind was on point, and the subtle flavours of the coffee were evident in every sip.

The custard tart was an excellent companion to the beverage, a top recommendation by the staff who took my order. The perfect balance of sweet and creamy, with the pastry crumbly and fresh. It was an utter delight.

I highly recommend a visit to Jibbi & Co. I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes your local go to for...

I've been to this place 3x in the past fortnight, first was lunch, second was afternoon tea/snack, and third was Father's Day breakfast. I think it's time I give this place a break.

Their coffees are not bad, I've had it at each visit. I was fine with the first two visits, prices and servings were reasonable for what we ordered - but I was most shocked at the breakfast fare. When we ordered waffles, we were expecting waffles made on-site, not fresh out of a packet, and lastly, expected 2 pieces at least, considering the size of the waffle and the ridiculous price for it. We were very disappointed to say the least. When we've paid that much for waffles or pancakes at other brunch cafes, we never regretted where our money went. Big breakfast was also the same. While the whole plate was delicious, the scrambled eggs need some work. I think their chef needs to go back to culinary school because as far as I believe,  perfecting scrambled eggs are usually an indication of a good cook. Our cutlery and glasses were also dirty. Our drinks came late and we never got served any butter for our ordered big breakfast plates.

This place needs some healthy competition.  At the moment, it seems people are so  willing to overpay for most items because it's the only decent eatery in the area.

I would probably visit again only...

We were there for a Father’s Day breakfast and although I have been disappointed previously, it was another disappointment! plates, glasses and cutlery on our table were dirty- food stuck in between fork, lipstick marks on glasses The lot - not properly presented, serving no where close to lot, no butter for bread drinks arrived late with couple being missed so had to ask for it. Egg and bacon burger - $12 bucks for a really sad stand alone burger, personally the most expensive egg and bacon burger I have ever had and pretty tasteless. others with scrambled eggs overcooked! Why serve a waffle out of packet, anyone could do it. Should be served fresh for the price and serving, the toppings must be really top notch because the waffle can’t be. could add pancakes to menu to provide more choice prices could be better (cheaper)

NOT A SPECIAL DAY WORTHY PLACE TO EAT!!!

Updated after below response - the owner may have read it some cheapskate reviewing it. I can understand that there is no place for honest opinion.

You’re pretty much saying that go somewhere else that you don’t want my business. That’s fine with me but must be good for your business though!! Good luck but I won’t be spending my...

A really nice cafe/restaurant in lightsview! It was such a great vibe in front of the small pond, the place is well maintained and clean. Coffee was also good. The latte was decent price and good, iced coffee a bit more expensive. Well made. Beef burger was surprisingly really good, we enjoyed it. I’d recommend trying it out because it’s so fresh and delicious! Pizza was also good, we ordered the prosciutto one. Interesting base. They forgot to give us chilli oil but they had it in the restaurant. There is 15% public holiday surcharge which we didn’t know about but still enjoyed our experience here. Would recommend to drop by if near this place. Would come back to try their brunch menu! :) There’s dedicated parking adjacent to the place

To negate the other review, yes they do take bookings, they took our dinner for 10 reservation. I would definitely come back for the pasta. I was lucky enough to order pasta and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was flavorful and the prawns tasted great, just a heads up the trails do have the shell still, but I did pay extra for the prawns so you can always skip it. The down side was the pizza, the base and the ingredients were good but the pizza lacked flavor, can't put my finger on what the pizza needed. Perhaps just a bit longer in the oven?? Not sure. They also allow for split bills which is the biggest upside for a large group of friends when it comes time to pay. Thanks for the food!
