Not the best experience I've had staying in Adelaide. I get the cheaper rates, get what you paid for, and the room overall wasn't bad, however I firstly get hassled for my mask exemption, saying I have to show it to them and I'd be in trouble with police. Well the law is you have actually broken the privacy act, and discrimination and disability act by demanding I show it. Australian Federal Law states I have to have one, not show you my medical condition. Get to the room and see it hasn't been cleaned properly. Clean sheets but that was about it. Dust quite thick, remote dirty with sticky stuff over buttons, dried milk still on top of the fridge, bathroom tiles not wiped down, can see the stains, bathroom sink tap and plug dirty and old soap left in the shower. Spare blanket not even folded to look cleaned. Booking stated breakfast included and it wasn't. Very average cleaning and I suggest that needs to improve given the times of "covid cleaning". And I suggest you read up on the law regarding demanding to see people's confidential medical information. If the cleaning was of higher standard most of that could be overlooked, however it was quite poor.

Based on previous reviews, we booked one SEF Studio King room for our 2 day stay in Adelaide and I have to say that we had the WORST experience ever. They claimed to have a king sized bed, rather we were provided with two single beds attached together and moreover the beds were extremely hard to sleep on. The springs in each of the beds were literally poking us that our spines got hurt badly. Inside the room, the AC and the fridge were making so much noise continuously which was very disturbing. Our stay was awful. Since we had to drive to Adelaide and had to drive around a lot, lack of sleep took a toll on us. They also claimed that complimentary breakfast supplies with cereal would be given… but no that was also not provided to us. Overall our experience was HORRIBLE and you would want to go there only if you wish to waste your hard earned money.

Our Hotel room had a bad aroma in it, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling, the grout in the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned and looked disgusting, there was previous occupants hair on the bathroom floor, the bed sheet on the double bed was too small and didn't cover the mattress, the aircon didn't work until I took the filters out which looked liked they'd never been cleaned, there was a burn mark on the lounge and carpet from an iron, and the tiny bin in our room didn't get emptied on the last day we stayed there. The staff were very polite and helpful but the standard of the room was well below par. I know it is a budget hotel but it was all I could afford for our short family holiday and I was extremely disappointed with our room.

Six of us came in to eat this evening. What a mistake.

Bread rolls were brought out 40 minutes after we had ordered and were cold and stale. It then took over an hour for my food to come out from ordering, after everyone else's, including one person that had arrived late and ordered 20minutes after I did.

I ordered the chef's special roast beef and when I eventually got it, it was awful. Dried out, leathery, grey meat. Potato that looked and tasted like they had been cooked days ago and reheated multiple times. The steamed veg was some sad cauliflower and yellowed broccoli.

One of the most disappointing meals I have ever eaten.

Staff were uninterested when I told them how bad the food was. The person with the bright red hair shrugged and walked off. There seemed to be very little pride or care in their service or the food they were serving. No apologies for the length of time we had to wait for our meals, no acknowledgement of the plates full of food that were taken back to the kitchen because the meals were inedible.

Terrible experience. The people I sat with were also disappointed in the wait, the lack of service and the quality of the food.

Although I have experience from multiple occasions of dining at the Enfield Hotel over the years, this review concerns an unplanned weekday lunch in November, 2022. Myself and my party were very promptly and amiably attended to by the waiter who was faultlessly considerate and well-acquainted with the menu.

The surrounds were clean and well-appointed in the dining room (this is not unusual for the Enfield Hotel but should be pointed out for praise).

Our meals, which consisted of drinks, entrees and two main courses, arrived soon after laying the order, were finely presented and held excellent portions for a commercial kitchen (frankly we ordered too much, not expecting the Enfield Hotel to give liberal portions as other restaurants have stinted our portions and overcharged). The food was delicious beyond description, being fresh, flavourful and big. Despite being famished, we would not have eaten it all if not for the poignant taste beating down resistance. If in the neighbourhood and searching for a dining meal, not a drive-through, there is simply no other restaurant to recommend than the...
