Jimmy Deane's Bar, Bistro & Gaming — Restaurant in Adelaide

We used to love Jimmy's pre covid. It was always busy, had a great salad bar too. We have been there 4 times now since they were up and running again and honestly have been so disappointed in just about everything. We booked for 6:30pm. Admittedly we got there at 6:40pm. There were no more than 18 -20 people in the dining room. We ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, a beef burger and a chick burger. We finished our first round of drinks and had to ask several times where our food was? It was not busy by any means. At 8pm the waitress said your burgers are just being built now! At 8:05pm we got our meals. The chips were burnt. The kids meal came out 20 mins before we knew where ours were. The meat patty was solid as a rock around the edges. Our son couldn't bite into it. My partner complained and as usual he was told we only have one chef working. They say that all the time. We definitely will not be going back again. Jimmy Deane’s, where do I start?!? Drink served in cracked glass. Two people from our group ordered a Moscato which was bitter. One person from the group ordered a Margarita which was strong and salty. Requested for this to be replaced, only to be forgotten. 15 minutes passed when a new one came out, with the excuse of “we only have one shaker”. That might be the case, but I watched from a distance and not once was the shaker picked up. In a group of 18 people, one child received their meal, while the other two waited with bated breath….that wait was 50 minutes later, and after majority of the adult meals came out. Chicken on burger was dry. I’m glad I had a drink handy to help it go down. Beef schnitzel, ordered by a friend, looked burnt and deep fried. It was uneatable. Was part of the largest group that booked out the venue last Saturday night 4th Dec 22. We arrived at 6.30pm but did not get to order until 8.22pm which was unacceptable considering we had children in the group as young as 2. Bread rolls and garlic bread plus drinks were served but our tables meals did not arrive until about 9.10pm. Our booking was from 6.30pm to 9pm. The food was good and the service attentive. However 4 of our company did not get a main meal and less than half of the group got their ordered desserts. They closed the kitchen at 10pm. HIre of the music equipment was paid for but other patrons complained so it could not be used until after 8.30pm. The family who hired the venue had a previous booking for a family birthday and enjoyed it but this event was unsatisfactory. I felt so sad for the 4 teenage boys that got nothing to eat and had to share their burgers really late in...
