Something different for a change rather than my normal meat pie reviews. I've been following Urban Desserts on Facebook for quite some time now, so I bit the bullet today and decided to grab one. All of Jeremy's desserts look fabulous. They remind me of Heston Blumenthal's desserts. Jeremy took out Pastry Chef of the year 2024.

The "Perfect Pair" looked a treat. Once I broke through the green surface of the pear it revealed a chocolate mousse with pear compote inside all of this deliciousness sitting on a chocolate biscuit base. I thought all the flavours worked really well. I liked how it really resembled a pair. Overall it was great, it wasn't too sweet but just enough. One down side - the box. The pear was about 1mm too high for the box with some of the silver leaf decoration was stuck to the top.

After seeing all the amazing photos and videos on their Facebook - I decided enough is enough and I headed down and purchased our first 4 urban desserts. We got lemon cheesecake, fig and pistachio and caramel apple. All I can say is HOLY MOLY, I was worried that they would only look good but taste too sweet/rich but all of them were perfectly balanced with tartness/sweetness. My parents loved the desserts too. Our favourite was the lemon cheesecake and caramel apple. We ended up coming to buy more the next day! Reasonably priced too - each one costs $10 which is fair due to the effort and time that obviously goes into each dessert. The staff are all wonderful too as is the owner! Best of luck to the team, we will spread the word to support this...

It's extremely rare to find me giving 5☆ across the board and it is just as rare if not rarer for me to enjoy or promote any vegan food but I swear if you didn't pay any attention and just ate one you wouldn't even know. So light, so fluffy even the heavier ones are light for what they are and the people there are always great. They always make sure you know the best way to store and enjoy your food if you're taking it home, they can keep some on site if you buy it before you're done shopping so you can pick up your box on the way out. You'd never ever know how awesome this place is but I'm telling you to give them a go even if only...
