Appalling poor effort by this store on this occasion. The store was showing many signs of poor management, lack of training and general poor condition. We went through the drive through and ordered the Olympic special Chicken and Pineapple burger meal, a strawberry shake and the chicken bites. Two of the items (the burger and chicken bites) are current promotional items which the staff are supposed to be promoting, the order taker had no idea what either of them were, attempting to bring up other chicken products for both repeatedly. Once we had finally placed our order and paid, we were immediately parked without being given our drinks, serviettes or anything. A staff member then came out and brought our food (but not the drinks) and we were forced to advise them that we were still waiting on drinks. They acknowledged, went inside for some time, then came back out to clarify if we had ordered the milkshake, then told us that the machine was broken. We requested an ice coffee as the replacement. Again they went back inside without any word and emerged some time later with a McCafe iced coffee. They still had not provided the second drink (coke zero, no ice, from the burger meal) and had to be reminded that we were still waiting for it. Again inside, thia time returning with a room temperature, flat Coke Zero. At this point they left before I had a chance to comment so I was finally forced to go inside myself. There were a moderate number of customers waiting for their food to be provided but none ordering, it still took some time for a staff member to notice me standing at the counter. When I advised that my drink was warm they said they would give me another. I reconfirmed to the staff member that it was Coke Zero, no ice. At this point the shift manager intervened without asking any questions except stating "no ice" then proceeded to prepare the drink and promptly puts ice in the cup. I reminded him that it was supposed to be no ice, whereupon he promptly made a regular Coke, no ice. I then readvised it was to be a Coke Zero, no ice and he prepared that. Again, room temperature. When I pointed that out he advised that was normal and that without ice they come out "at ambient temperature". This is every imaginable kind of wrong as anyone who works with postmix knows that if it comes out warm it goes flat almost instantly because it needs to be chilled to hold the bubbles. Likewise, anyone who has ever ordered no ice post mix knows that it comes out cold. So, for the shift manager to claim that it should be ambient temperature raises a couple of very important questions: Who is training anyone in this store? How long has the front counter drink dispenser been broken that it is now deemed normal? Why has something not been done about the obvious lack of training and faulty equipment in this store? I've been back since and thankfully the post mix machine on drive through isn't faulty, so when I was correctly provided my drink from the drive through window, it was cold.

Read moreIf I could less than 1 star I would. I came in at night and the staff looked like they just couldn't careless about their job. They were slow and lazy with attitude, they couldn't be bothered about making more fries. There was very little chips and they had gone cold and stale for sitting out for so long. They tasted disgusting. I brought the McAngus meal and the meat was overcooked, dry, stale and cold. There was so much sauce on there it went everywhere, it was a ridiculous amount of sauce, like the staff thought it was a funny joke to play. It was my first time trying this burger and I was really looking forward to trying something new and it was RUINED by sauce and being cold and such. I've worked in fast food before and it doesn't matter what time or day it was, I still went over and above and was friendly to customers and helpful. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AND OR RECOMMENING ANYONE TO THIS MCDONALDS. I ordered a Oreo mcflurry which I never received either. After a long night and being assaulted by a steamger I wanted to try and make myself feel a bit better but the staff, their attitude and laziness made it even worse. I can't even get a refund and I spent quite a bit of money that night on my meal for it to be disgusting. NOT...
Read moreI had a deeply disturbing experience at this McDonald’s (Shop 58A/575 North East Road, Gilles Plains SA) around 4:00 AM on June 10, 2025.
I have a medical condition that causes me to hiccup when I eat. While dining in, a man with curly hair and glasses, who was apparently a family member of a female staff member, suddenly confronted me in an aggressive and humiliating way, demanding I “be quiet” — simply because I was hiccuping.
His behavior was loud, rude, and completely unacceptable. Even worse, the staff member did nothing to stop it. In fact, she stood there while he continued to use profanity and told us we “didn’t deserve to eat here.” Meanwhile, he was enjoying his own meal in the store as if he had special rights.
This was discriminatory, humiliating, and completely unprofessional — especially from someone associated with a staff member.
As a content creator with over 68,000 followers on Douyin, I have documented the entire event and am sharing it publicly to raise awareness of this unacceptable treatment of customers with medical conditions.
I sincerely hope McDonald’s takes this seriously. No one should be treated like this just for trying...
