Usually use the drive thru and 50% of the time they get the order wrong. They usually forget an item or a added extra on a burger that we have paid for. Ive had some staff that have excellent customer service. Always say hello, are friendly and polite. But have had others that barely speak at all. Once at the pay window I had a girl serve me and she did not say one word to me. Didn't say hello, tell me the price or even tell me to drive to the next window.. She just took my money, handed me the change and went back to taking orders on the mic. It wasn't even busy. Was the worst customer service I have received. Food is a hit or miss. Had some really nice burgers but also had awful burgers, the has been really dry amd bun is old or is so oily it's dripping. Also had them way ovwr do it with the sauce so you cant taste anything else. And other times not enough sauce so you cant even taste it. Fries can be good but many times they have been old and cold or have completely forgotten thw salt on them. Ive stopped getting myself food because paying $8 - $10 for a awful burger isn't worth it.. I just buy for the kids now. The few times we have sat inside to eat we have had great customer service. Friendly staff and quick to bring our order. Unfortunately the playground is so tiny not many kids can play amd only really suited for up to 5yr olds. It gets REALLY hot in there in summer as its not air conditioned like most other McDonald's Donalds...
Read moreMost of the machines you order at were not working. We ordered a large meal with a Sunday and no cutlery or serviettes were given so had to go back to the counter to get them. They had a "monopoly" promotion on at the time and they didn't have any large chip packs which would have 2 game chances but we got a medium pack with 1 game chance with a small pack we were not offered an extra chance. Noticed another customer come back into the store and returned some items and got a cash refund. Rubbish was not collected from tables like most McDonald's restaurants. The cafe section had nothing on display. The time before that we visited this store we got take away breakfast and when we got home there was items missing we called up the store and they promised to send out some vouchers which they never did. I just wanted to update my review today is the 27/9/2022 and we finally got the voucher we were promised from McDonald's Port Adelaide after we complained over a month ago the best part is that the voucher expired on 01/9/2022 so it expired not only 26 days before we got it but also before it was posted. We took it back to the store and asked to speak with the manager who was a bit disinterested and went away and came back and said he can't find something so just gave us...
Read moreThis was my first negative review, and I wish I could leave 0 stars. My experience with McDonald's Port Adelaide has been consistently disappointing. Apart from the happy man at the drive thru window the rest of the store brings down the avergae. Each time I order via Uber Eats, 2/3 of my food and drinks are missing. I’ve spoken multiple times to the same male employee who claims to be the manager. He insists he personally prepared and packaged the meals, but every time, he’s “pretty sure” everything is included, suggesting the driver might have stolen the items—even though the bag is always sealed. When questioned, he implies that drivers can reseal the bags, and when I ask why a driver would take small items like Happy Meal toys, drinks and fries instead of a larger meal, he has no answer. What do you gain from withholding Happy Meal toys from young children?
The manager’s usual response is to just call Uber Eats for a refund, expecting them to fix his consistent mistakes. McDonald’s head office, I urge you to reassess your management at this location before the situation worsens. Here's a thought, make the happy man at the drive thru...
