This is my favourite local Indian Restaurant, the staff are always so welcoming, kind and very attentive. Special mention to Boomi (sorry if I have mispelt your name) she is always greeting all patrons with a smile and we have never had a bad experience over our many years of dining at Mr India. Actually have been dining here since November 2016 and cannot fault them at all - every dining experience has been wonderful. But more importantly, the food is always flavoursome, fresh and delicious. It is no wonder that they are always flat out when it comes to take aways. It is our go to for family gatherings and great for large groups.Spacious dining area with beautiful decor that adds to the ambience. Our usual order consists of butter chicken, all the variations of madras curry, pumpkin, chickpeas and spinach salan as well as cheesy garlic naan. Great selections of beverages with the best one being the mango lassi! Such an all round gem of a restaurant - if you haven't been... make a...
Read moreMr. India exceeds in quality and taste, their menu is refined yet full of options.
My favourite menu item is the South Indian Fish Curry, they don't skimp out, using Barramundi as the fish, and the curry is so flavoursome. additionally, they have what must be the best Butter Chicken in the country, Mr. India doesn't slack on even some of the more basic dishes, their Butter Chicken was so rich and delicious. I also had their special, a Goat Masala, which again, did not disappoint, if you see it on the menu, get it!
Their sides such as the raita, and their extensive range of naan's and rice brings the whole dining experience together.
The atmosphere of the restaurant brings about an authentic out of Adelaide identity, boasting furniture with an luxurious Indian appeal.
Genuinely, especially if you live in the south, it's worth checking out Old Reynella's quaint suburb and dining in Mr. India, a restaurant that goes far beyond...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant since it opened I believe in 2015. I drive past 6 Indian restaurants much closer to me because in the past the food here was delicious. Ordered takeout tonight, veg entree plater, chicken madras “ which was the chefs special” and in the past was superb. Based on the taste and quality of the food it would appear either ownership or the chef has changed. The veg entree was tasteless with items readily available in any Indian frozen grocery section. The chicken madras which was always a highlight was again tasteless with no spice combinations I’ve become accustomed too…..just milky unseasoned gravy with tough, dry chicken. Also, they’ve risen their prices by approximately $3.00 per dish without changing the prices on their website. What a disappointment…..if in fact it is the original owner/ chef you better raise your game because serving up this will eventually put you...
