The restaurant is exceptionally clean and well laid out. Staff greet you when you enter and direct you to a table. Menus are well laid out and easy to navigate with plenty of options and variety. Our friends selected individual dishes, one opted for an entree plate of various small bites and was given the option of changing out items she didn’t want for those she preferred, our other friend opted for a regular serve of hot and spicy (described at very hot on the menu) boneless chicken served with cabbage salad, hubby and I ordered a half and half boneless chicken platter that serves 2-3. Our half and half option consisted of half original chicken and half soy marinated chicken. This was also served with cabbage salad, nicely presented with a dressing and mayonnaise topping. We all had bottled drinks, one of our friend opted for a Coopers Ale, which he was grateful for to help temper the heat in the hot and spicy chicken, which he enjoyed very much. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the large share platter hubby and I had could have easily served three,or four if we had maybe had a small entree. We will definitely return. This place is now on our...
Read moreI tried the galbitang. To put it simply, the taste is fairly average. Perhaps a little pricey for what you get.
The galbitang had plenty of meat, and had a decent amount of glass noodles. However, the meat is supposed to fall off the bone easily and be very soft. This was far from the case, where the meat took quite a bit of effort to rip off the bone, and even then the meat was fairly tough and difficult to chew.
The soup itself was also a little salty, and perhaps this was intentional and it is usually a dish where you mix in rice and eat it with the rice. But the soup was still a little salty even after this consideration.
The rice was also a little dry and flaky for some reason. Even after mixing the rice with the soup, the rice maintained a texture almost akin to if you mixed basmati rice with soup.
This may sound like a lot of criticism, but it's also mainly little nitpick. Now I have not tried any of their other offerings, but so far, the place seems fairly decent if you want to try...
Read moreNice neat clean looking small sized restaurant on Magill road. My first impression was the bright interior and stark black white contrast interior. Very modern looking so I was a bit skeptical about the authenticity of the food. First thing which struck me was the waitress spoke Korean, which is a thumbs up, as it's more likely its Korean chefs , not Chinese. We originally ordeord the seafood hot pot but this was unfortunately "sold out" - huge disappointment as it was only a weeknight and we didn't expect that to be the case. We ordered a different hot pot and asked for extra raw egg (that we can crack and cook ourself) and extra tofu. We were expecting silky tsilky tofu but they gave us four small blocks of firm tofu. The seafods pancake was phenomenal - delicious and crispy. Advice is to eat that while its still hot, otherwise it gets soft and soggy! Will come again to try the...
