The Food Barr — Restaurant in Adelaide

Waited over an hour and a half for food. Had to go inside multiple times to check on our order and it took the staff an hour to tell us they couldn’t do some of the things we ordered. Staff said it was because they were busy, but there were maybe three or four tables of customers with half of them already eating, so this couldn’t have been the case.

I ordered waffles and was told about an hour later they couldn’t do them, so I was offered pancakes instead. I accepted this because at this point I was starving, and when they finally came out it looked like they had been slapped together. I’m 99% sure the pancakes were pre-made store bought ones (like the Golden brand 6 pack you get from any supermarket) and they had been sitting on the counter for a good three minutes while the staff did other things so by the time they came out, they were lukewarm.

The items that were substituted cost less than the items we had actually ordered. The staff refunded the difference after we asked them though. No idea what the staff were doing while we were waiting for our food, but all the tables that had been eaten at still had plates and whatnot on them so it definitely wasn’t cleaning!

Definitely will not be coming here again, very disappointed as we’d heard...

The best cafe around. Seriously, I wanted a quick coffee on the way and stopped by Morning Light. I was met at the door by the most delicious mix of fresh coffee beans and bacon sizzling, I couldn't resist ordering a cheeky breakfast treat. The manager pulled out a tray of home made sausage rolls, fresh and steaming from the oven... I couldn't say no, it would be rude.... So there I sat, rush and hurry forgotten, pleasantly replaced by delightful coffee, wonderful food and beautiful ambience. Behind my wonderful breakfast is a passionate man and his beautiful wife, making everything fresh each day from scratch, making every customer feel like the most important part of their day. Got a takeaway egg and bacon roll… the roll was absolutely rock hard and I only ate it because I was so hungry and surprised I didn’t chip a tooth on it!

It also didn’t have any tomato relish on it as described on door dash… I had to add my own tomato sauce!

Seriously… how can you give a Customer a rock hard roll for breakfast! If I was dining in- that would have been an even more embarrassing experience for you and me both!

Also coffee tasted flavourless and like hot water.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews for food places but this was beyond bad food and hospitality!!

Will not be going back...
