Nik's BBQ on The Lake — Restaurant in Adelaide

Not normally one to ever do reviews it could possibly be my first but the service at Nik's BbQ on the Lake is disgusting along with the very average food. Struggling to understand why people fill this very very average take away venue, I was constantly dragged to this diner with friends to only ever be disappointed and confused as to how it was so busy. Very average meat, very very average service, expensive pricing for sub-par quality. Rude staff charging me two seats for dinner after spending $70 on food because I was after two mains for one person. Then on another occasion refusing table water after spending $40 on food and implying I had to buy a bottle. Very crowded diner with uncomfortable seats and tables with no room for customers to enjoy their meal or even a conversation. Would not reccomend this place to anyone as the staff come across very rude and seem to really be pretending especially the female workers as they cant even spare a glass of water for their customers (encouraged by nik?) Suprised as to how this place packs out its disrespectful to any other greek places in adelaide as they say this place is one of the better ones.. It is not close to a even a yiros out of a shopping complex.

Stay clear of Nik's BBQ on the lake dont be fooled by the ignorant mawson lakes crowd having a very average meal along with bad service from this garbage take out venue. From the moment my family arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine smiles. A special shoutout to Humoody, who was an absolute gem—so kind, bubbly, and incredibly efficient. His energy made our dining experience even more enjoyable, and it was clear he truly cares about every guest.

Nik, the manager, personally came by our table to check on us, making sure we were happy with our meal and if we needed anything else. That kind of thoughtful service is rare and deeply appreciated!

And the food? Unreal. Every bite was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection with fresh produce, this place delivers on front! So generous with food portions, food came out basically the moment after we placed our order!!

If you want a taste of the real greek, Niks is the place! You’ll be welcomed in like family!

The service was the worst 😫there was 3 tables and we waited 10 minutes before asked if we wanted to order even a drink ! The garlic cheese bread was soggy for $10 I could of made a better one at home for $2 .The food was like a bad tastless BBQ! My husbands yiros meat was cold to the point the fat on the lamb was white !The meat patties had bits of bone I nearly cracked a tooth.The pepper and mushroom sauce should not be served it was cold and horrible! The food overall was horrible ! Oh and dont get me started on the saganaki DO NOT order ! It was placed on soggy bread on top of a salad that was drowned in vinegar that had gone through the bread onto the cheese so I might as well of drank from the vinegar bottle. Paid a fortune for basically a back yard bbq gone wrong! And that place needs a huge clean it is a flithy shop !
