I had a booking for 3 on arrival I had a friendly greeting and place was packed and buzzing, we got seated and offered water straight away.

We ordered garlic bread and aricini balls with a bottle of wine to start and Calzones for our mains.

Wine was bought to us immediately and on pouring waiter spilled wine and did not wipe the bottle clean afterwards. We had to make them aware as it all over the bottle and going on the table, once aware wiped the bottle clean and wine on table but should have been more proactive.

The garlic bread is on focaccia bread it was nice and warm, fluffy with a nice flavour, enjoyed it so much had to order a second serve.

The aricini balls were a pea and cheese serve in a napoli sauce with parmesan on top, it was appealing to the eye but taste it was bland and lucked flavour, the sauce also lacked flavour and there is no salt or pepper on the table to assist and it was a disappointing dish.

One of the waiters noticed we finished our bottle of wine and quickly asked if we needed another bottle, we advised not at this stage and to my surprise she just walked away and left the empty bottle on the table.

Our Calzone came out they were smaller serves then what you get at La Trattoria which is what I am used to. The calzone dough was nice, the filling had good flavour. The bolognese sauce lacked flavour and overall after the hype of this restaurant and comparing it to La Trattoria it did not meet my expectations but it was still an ok dish.

Overall it was and ok experience the staff are nice enough, the food is ok but there was no wow factor that left me feeling I needed...

Lastnight was the second time I have visited Parisis. The first time was my birthday last year with my family, the food was really nice. The second time was lastnight with my partner. We booked for 6:30pm. We ordered 1 entree dish at approximately 6:45pm, and the entree came out just after 7pm. Our plates were cleared at 7:20pm. The friendly staff member informed us that they would let the chef know to begin cooking our main meals. It was now 8:00pm and the same staff member apologised for the wait and said our meals would be arriving soon. 45 minutes later; 8:45pm and we had not yet received our main meals. We had somewhere to be at 9pm, so we thought 6:30pm would have been an appropriate time to book for dinner as 2.5 hours is plenty of time to prepare 1 arancini entree and 2 main pasta’s, but apparently not. We asked for a refund of the meal and they refunded the two pastas and 2 glasses of wine which was nice, but we still paid for the arancini entree. It’s very disappointing as the staff said they weren’t sure how our order had been missed, but a similar thing happened the first time I came to parisis with my family but they were extremely busy so I was forgiving. Now that this has happened a second time, I will unfortunately not return. I love the food and the staff are always friendly, but the service is incompetent. The first time the waiter apologised for the wait on the food, he should have followed up with the chef, but we were completely forgotten about. Now that it had reached 9pm, every other restaurant nearby had closed their kitchens so unfortunately we did not eat...

Wish I could give zero!

Booked for 7.15pm for my partner’s birthday, we walked in at around 7.25pm by the time we found a park. Our table was not ready yet so they asked us to sit at the bar while they cleared the table. They offered us a drink, so we had one each. After waiting at the bar for 10 minutes and finishing our drinks already, we overheard the owners telling other staff members ‘as soon as they put their drink down give them the bill and get them out’.

Meanwhile several groups walked in after us and had been seated immediately. So I asked the bar attendant whether our table was ready as it was now 7.45pm and we had yet to be seated or acknowledged. Upon asking, I received the response of ‘oh we are just really busy at the moment and your table isn’t ready yet.’ I stated that our booking was at 7.15pm and asked where our table was. Their response was ‘There is nothing we can do, we are busy and also you came late so you can wait, but you know, there is a table over there. You could sit there if you want.’

I was confused as I had seen the available table upon entry but it was not offered to us until 30 minutes after waiting.

My partner and I felt uncomfortable with the staff members attitudes so we decided to just pay for our two lemon lime and bitters and leave.

When we went to pay the owner acted as if we were uncalled for and was very dismissive as if we had wasted their time 😂

Went two doors down, was...

I’ve been here many times over the years and it tends to be a good experience. If I was basing my review on this one visit, it probably would have been a 3 star, mainly because the special pasta we got was a bit bland and lacked some oomph and it was quite loud, albeit it was a Saturday evening so can’t complain about that. We did also get the speciale pizza which actually was very delicious. And that’s coming from a guy who’s now a huge traditional Italian style pizza guy. The garlic bread was large and generous and kind of fluffy which was interesting. Very tasty too. But in any case. Typically, I would say the food is good, service is good and at atmosphere is also up there. I wouldn’t rate it as my favourite Italian restaurant in Adelaide by any means but it’s passable. What I do like is the area. Any restaurant on King William road always has a leg up as the vibe is always nice around there and it’s a beautiful street. Lots of places near by for after dinner dessert or drinks if you’re inclined. Worth checking it out, hopefully you’ll get a wonderful experience. I’ve certainly had both just ok and awesome experiences here. For your sake, let’s hope you get the latter. Enjoy!
