i’m not one to write reviews, however i felt compelled in this circumstance as it was probably one of the worst table services i had received.
Our waitress made us feel uncomfortable in more ways than one, our night started by being taken to our table, and before even asking if we want water she said “just to let you guys know there is someone else booked for your table at 1930 but i don’t think that will be a problem for you guys” (bold assumption if you ask me), then asked if we wanted water which we agreed, she then walked away to get the water.
Upon her return which had only been a few minutes past she delivered the water to us and asked if we were ready to order. (we obviously said no because we had literally only just sat down).
she left and then came back another few minutes later to ask again if we were ready to order, we said no and then she proceeded to stand there awkwardly with her pen and paper waiting for us to make a rushed decision.
once we gave our order she got it wrong (we didn’t want sausage in our pasta and she gave us sausage).
she delivered our garlic bread to us, we ate it, and as expected with a crumbly crusty garlic bread there were a few crumbs on the table. right before the pasta came she came back to the table and asked if we wanted the crumbs wiped off the table for us, i said no and then she said “are you sure?” i said yes, then she stood there awkwardly as the pasta was delivered by another waitress like she wasn’t happy with my answer. (im not bothered about a few crumbs).
after that there was just a general feeling of her loitering around our table, pacing up and down the walkway eyeing our table off like an eagle, i’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant.
other than that, food was great!! would get take away but will absolutely never...
Read moreNever write a review for any business, even when dissatisfied. However this one was so disappointing. First time going there with a group of friends, trying to adjust our reservation from 7 to 8 people, the manager told we must opt for the banquet menu at $64 per person due to our group size on a Saturday night. Was talking about the situation with her but she told she is very busy and doesn't have the time to discuss this over the phone at that moment so she can pass my number to the owner. The owner called me later that day sound very kind and polite offered a table for 8 with the condition that we order one dish per person a policy we inevitably accepted otherwise we had to pay charges for cancellation or get the banquet menu.
The worst part was the following Sunday, received an unexpected call from the owner, complaining about why I shared a negative experience in reviews (even though I hadn't written one yet). She sounded nice & polite at the beginning but started become aggresive and speaking in loud voice while I explained that it's not my responsibility if someone else shared their experience and this is the customer right to do so. She continued to speak in an aggresive and offensive way, barely let me talk and finish my sentences, and ultimately hung up on me. Never seen such an unprofessional behavior from any business owner. Felt so offended over the weekend, founded my day spoiled just before a gathering when she called. Not a manner I can accept and forget. Even if I were the one who writes a negative review, no one had the right to call my personal number and complain about it...
Read moreDined in with family a friends - spent $460 between 6 - 4x adults and 2x children.
Ordered meat lovers pizza (thin not deep dish). Pizza was half the size of a regular 12” that you would get at most other restaurants, very small. Toppings had minimal flavour, pizza base had a similar consistency and texture to what I have experienced from a frozen pizza out of the box, not terrible but not great for the price. Also found 2 long hairs in the pizza base (in the base sauce), staff were great and offered to replace it, we chose not to replace. Not a major issue as this could happen anywhere but just a little disappointing.
For entree we ordered the sourdough garlic loaf, arancini balls and crispy octopus. Bread and octopus serves were very small, even for an entree. Bread was tasty though. Also ordered hand cut chips for $14 - serve was tiny, lucky if we (group of 6) had 2-3 chips each out of the bowl…suggest the Godi team reconsider some of the portion sizes they offer.
The shining light for me was the Hentley Farm wine and the Parmesan cheese wheel with added Italian sausage which was great, albeit a small serve for a main when compared to other local Italian restaurants.
In my opinion, prices for the dishes on offer (quality and portion size) are simply too high. The menu offered reads well however, suggest reviewing quality of some of the dishes offered and...
