EDIT: (as of Nov 2025)
Came back with a friend to introduce this place that is one of my fave. Menu is still the same. Food is still great! BUT THE NEW MANAGER IS TOP LEVEL RUDE!!!!! CHECK OTHER COMMENTS FROM A MONTH OR FEW BACK to see that the staff this time is so bad!
I have never encountered such rudeness for someone working in the hospitality. I, myself worked in both hospitality and retail, so I fully know how it feels to be under stress. You do not pass it on to your paying customers!
To raise your voice at your patrons is utterly unprofessional and ill-mannered. The manager the last time I was there was sweet and welcoming and really engaging to patrons. I was dining with a friend and was taken aback how this rude new manager yell at an old man just trying to make payment at the bar. We literally turn to them because he sounded like having a fight. And when it was my turn, I asked for receipt and immediately told me NO. To which I was suprised because it's illegal not to supply receipt. He told me he was having problem with the machine and he would just send me a copy thru sms to which I agreed. And was waiting where write my number. Didn't even offer me a pen, and also have the audacity to tell me I yelled at him. When I finished payment, my friend asked if I was okay because she heard the loud voice of the manager. And when I told her, he accused me of raising his voice at him, she said she didn't even hear me speak because all she can hear was the rude manager speaking to me. That even the other table had a look. It was humiliating!
YOU NEED TO FIND ANOTHER MANAGER THAT CAN RUN YOUR BUSINESS PROPERLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. YOU WILL LOSE LOYAL CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THIS RUDE MANAGER!!!!! I WILL NOT COME BACK UNTIL THAT RUDE MANAGER IS GONE! Until then, I will take my business elsewhere.
And to you rude manager, your day will come. You have your karma back for being rude and ill-mannered.
First time to dine in this place. Second try giving Greek cuisine a chance to appeal to me. My first try of Greek cuisine unfortunately was not a good one. But this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It made me love Greek food! The ambience was amazing (the Greek Gods(?) painted on the wall) Love that! The service was excellent! And the food was incredible! Wide selection! Big portions! And the taste chef's kiss And it's not even expensive! Every cent we spent was so worth it! Kudos to the team! Just hope they have cocktails, next time. Will definitely come back to this place and try the rest on the menu!
Better than Yiasou George Let's agree...
Read moreDined with friends tonight on the recommendation of our friend who invited us. It started okay at the beginning when we entered, but from there on, it was a hit and miss, more of a miss. We had to constantly wave down one of the waitresses to get their attention. We ordered our entrees and mains as we were sharing to try everything. The waitress took our order but did not ask what we wanted anything to drink, so we had to wave one of them down again. The entrees were really nice, so that was the hit. But when it came to our mains, it was horrible. The stuff calamari was too chewy and uneatable, and the arni solvaki was horrible as the lamb was too tough to eat. We only had not even a bit and then complained to the waitress who removed it from our table, not asking if we would like a replacement or to try something different from the menu. All we got was chef sending his apologies. Throughout the whole dining experience, we were only asked once how everything was, but that was when we were eating our entrees. When it came to wanting dessert, we had to once again wave down a waitress for the menu. Our dessert was nice and full of flavour. But when it came to the billing, it was a disaster. We explained to the waitress that we didn't eat any of the mains and that we were not going to pay for something that wasn't pleasant and had to explain to her again why. The waitress took our bill, and she would be back with it fixed. The waitress came back and gave us the bill, then left. We looked at the bill again, hoping that the items were removed or a solution but nothing. We had to wave down the other waitress who we had to once again explain the dilemma. She took our bill and then came back to say that, sorry; unfortunately, she could not remove it from our bill. We asked to speak to the manager, and we were informed that they were not in tonight. So, I proceeded to ask who was the next in charge to solve this situation. We were then told that there was pretty much no one. The head chef didn't even come out to resolve the situation. My friends and I are managers of well-known restaurants, and to come across this situation is very poor. Any good manager would know to have someone next in charge on duty to resolve customer complaints. It wasn't even busy. We ended up having to pay the bill in full for certain items we did not eat. My friends and I will not be returning or will be recommending this...
Read moreI'm not one to write a bad review but I've never experienced such poor service. I made a dinner reservation here on a Saturday night to give my interstate family a taste of Adelaide, based on having read good reviews. On arrival, six of us waited at the entry to Agapi and I approached a male waiter who basically laughed in my face when I advised I had a reservation for six to be seated inside (it was a 40 degree day). He told me the only option was to be seated outside or nothing as the 'boss had overbooked', making it seem like it was my fault for booking at the restaurant in the first place. I was so embarrassed as I've never been spoken to so poorly at a restaurant. We began to walk off, when another male from inside Agapi ran from inside the business to catch up to us. He stated 'Amor', another restaurant, was connected to Agapi and advised he would attempt to make different arrangements and provide us all drinks 'on the house' at Amor to apologise for the inconvenience. On arrival at Amor, five of us ordered a drink. After we had ordered the drink and starting drinking it, the male came back to our table and changed his offer, advising he would pay for 'half' of our drinks. The male then advised he would try and organise a table at Agapi for us. About 30 minutes later he returned and said it just was not possible to accommodate for us, however, given we had been waiting, he insisted he would pay for half of our total bill at Amor if we ordered dinner there. This is the only reason we stayed as we did not originally intend to eat Spanish/Portuguese (nothing against the restaurant). On completion of our meal, the male returned and brought out the bill. He then advised he would only be paying for our drinks. I confronted him about this and he advised it was 'coming out of his own money' in an attempt to guilt trip me. The fee of the drinks was far less than paying half of the bill. I'm not complaining about the discounted price, but an offer is an offer and I've never walked away from a dinner experience feeling this manipulated. Disappointed and I will never be returning or recommending...
